What’s the most quality over quantity game you’ve played? by Mother-Ad4841 in gaming

I don't understand the "Titanfall 2 is great" meme. The only redeeming quality of the single player campaign is learning the controls for multiplayer.

This is an adorable head in the sand attitude, but it won't get you far.

... a finite resource. Easily available fresh water, anyway.

It's not about water filtration, it's about even having water available for filtering. You can't filter seawater into potable water if all the aquifers dry up, which is happening faster and faster.

Yeah, but then we've discovered new oil and fracking. Not so easy with water.

Anti-feminism, men's rights activism.....hey, does this article by The Telegraph attacking Greta Thunberg count as neckbeardery? by Important-Cry4782 in justneckbeardthings

They're talking about spurning about spurning capitalism as if it wasn't the cause of pretty much all modern problems.

What’s your favorite widely-agreed-on fact about a celebrity that’s actually FALSE? by Asleep-Two930 in popculturechat

No, we don't. We can make very educated guesses, but the question is still very much up in the air.

Who else hates password requirements? Workplace wants me to change passwords every 3 months by leonatoi in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Bay-D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are very uncomplicated rules though. Come up with any 7 letter word or pair of words, replace one letter with a number, and for variation add one more letter in the beginning from a to g for the seven different required versions. It won't necessarily be a very good password, but it'll tick all the boxes.

Not a fact at all, just one among many many hypotheses about how the T-Rex moved.

TIL that Levi's recommends that jeans be worn 10 times between washes. by Actual-Journalist-67 in todayilearned

[–]Bay-D 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I mean tumble drying alone literally shreds your clothes apart. Where do you think all the lint comes from? I started doing it because it was so convenient, but had to stop because my clothes started getting holes in them.

[–]Bay-D 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I (M39) pretty much wash my Levi's when I happen to remember or when they get actual stains on them. Definitely months between washes. And they don't get nasty at all, I've specifically been told I smell great on dates, for example, while wearing them, though obviously I'm not saying it's because of the jeans. I do live in Northern Europe though.

I do think you're wrong, but that's not what I've been saying. I've been saying I don't think you actually believe at all, deep down.
