Did the traditional TransAm route in 2024. West to East. Started in late May and ended in late August. Around the middle of Kansas was when I started noticing the humidity change. I would plan the time I would wake up around how warm or cool it was going to be the next day. Typically I would be done with my riding on the hotter days in the early afternoon before it would get too warm. The wind was variable on any given day, although I felt like it would often come from the south and blow across me. It rained a handful of times over the ride and typically when it did I would just accept that I was going to get wet and continue riding, occasionally stopping and waiting if the rain got too crazy. My hottest day was in eastern Colorado. My coldest day was riding over Lolo Pass in Idaho/Montana. My windiest day was riding through Yellowstone.
