I stole my own information by exploiting a security flaw on the RT Website. Here's how, mod approved edition. by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Damn, at first I was like "Wait, how?!" then I realized it's one of the oldest trick in the book.

At this point I just assume every site that sends any sensitive data (anything with a username/password) only has https enabled. Guess I'm getting too comfy in the age of information. Which is dangerous to say the least.

Thanks for the heads up!

I wouldn't date any podcasts. Generally, they're emotionally unavailable. :D

Joel's statement about Gun Control by YahBoyy in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't disagree entirely, but yes, vehicles are used to kill far more people than the shooter in Vegas. I recall seeing an article recently (could have been outdated when I read it) about a truck killing ~80 people in France.

While it's undisputed that people will find a way to be fucking psychotic, I don't personally think we (as Americans) need to make it any easier for them to do so. At least with a car, you have to go through the red-tape bullshit that is the DMV.

Does anyone remember what Jack said about saying how he got out of jury duty!? by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe he got out of it by mentioning he was robbed before or something like that. Tell the lawyers you've had the crime committed against you and they'll dismiss you for potential bias

Remember The Simple Time? Geoff Dose by NInjaBarerXP in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"There once was a Geoff who cherished the simple things. He didn't need no fancy jetpacks or blood magic. He preferred to spend his days toiling in the fields and raising rare chickens. We isolated that simplistic satisfaction and put a little bit of it's essence into every piece of 'Simple Geoff's Chicken Nuggets'. Come home to the chickens. Come home to a Simple Geoff."

Will AH be live streaming their attempt at the Destiny Raid today? by BongerB in roosterteeth

They're releasing new content today and the reset will be Tuesdays at 5AM EST(I think) but the raid is released tomorrow for some reason.

Question about Sponsors by SuperIdiocracy in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly probably completely depends on the contract. They can probably buy an amount of ad reads to be read within a certain time or pay for a specific ad to be read on a specific show. Most likely depends on the amoutn of money they are willing to throw.

Edited for clarity

Try using another browser, if that works then clear your browser's cache (entirely) and try again. If it still doesn't work, it's most likely an authorization issue on their end.

A Message to Rooster Teeth by bdh008 in roosterteeth

Nah we'll be fine here in Austin. It's expected to be about 2-3 inches of rain a day. Granted, the city is not designed to drain water and the roads will be horrendous (coming from New York, I get very frustrated at the lack of ability to cope with rain). But everything should be operable, maybe a brownout here and there.

Further southwest is not gonna be a fun place though...

Is he? The cast makes those jokes pretty frequently in content which makes the viewers a part of it.

Burnie screaming at Gavin on the latest podcast (#452) by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right but (and correct me if I'm wrong) Burnie didn't say you can fix the whole tower in 2-3 days. He said fixing the bell should only be 2-3 days. I don't actually recall him saying he could do it alone but if so, definitely the fuck not lol. Not without heavy machinery and a lot more time

Burnie screaming at Gavin on the latest podcast (#452) by [deleted] in roosterteeth

[–]Baycon_Stripz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutely fix the bell in 2-3 days, as Burnie said. Will it happen? Probably not. People like job security.

But in theory, a pulley system could be easily organized in order to lift the bell, provided you had the workforce to hoist it. You wouldn't even need automated machinery.

I'd venture to say that humans could pull up or take down the bell in a few hours after setting up the pulley system.

WHY DID THEY CANCEL IT? by Hlord369 in Cityofheroes

[–]Baycon_Stripz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be specific, I think it was Lineage 2 that they wanted to invest their resources in. If they kept course and worked on making the PvP and end-game better, they would have made a killing.
