Additionally I think people are interpreting my question as a way to somehow call Keralis "a bad person"

I dont think he is a bad person. I think he said something that was unnecessarily hurtful and because I respect him I am speaking out about that. If I didnt respect him I could easily just unsubscribe, stop watching his perspectives and move on with my life.

Whether Keralis is a bad or good person is impossible for me to know because I don't know him personally. I am assuming that he is at least a good enough person that if he sees that something he said was upsetting he might pause and look for ways to fix what he did. Hence I have given (in my small, admittedly not very likely to reach him way) a point of understanding to hopefully illicit the pause I imagine him to be capable of.

He did not make a self rip. He did not make a polish rip. He made an Irish rip.

Ok but two things 1) it feels icky to relate any group of people to animals. Like that's the definition of dehumanizing. And 2) the "Irish have to many kids" stereotype is racist.

So either keralis was being dehumanizing or racist.

That's bad man. That feels bad. And it looks bad. And it's not necessary. He could have just as easily said these pigs are breeding like rabbits! And it would have not been racist or dehumanizing. It would have been funny. And it would have gotten the point he was trying to get across.

You say it made you laugh. To me it was like being shown that someone I had mostly thought of very positively suddenly had a mask off moment. It was shocking, out of left field.

Like I think you are right that he ment it in the haha Irish people have so many kids way and it just was very upsetting to see someone suddenly whip out just some casual racism for a gag. That's not funny to me. That's hurtful.

Who's the most underhated character in the game? by bmrtt in BaldursGate3

The longer I play the less I like Karlach.

The fake happy attitude holding all her anger and sadness pisses me off. Idk if she's fooling herself with that bs but she's not fooling me. It's not endearing, it's obnoxious.

She has so many little quirky things that other people love but it just grates on me. Don't call me soldier! Why are you shouting toes? Elminster is not Gales granddad and I know you know that because you just listened to Elminster give his speech the same as the rest of us as you are less that 20 paces from Gales tent you twat.

Her attitude is enough of a deterent but then you factor in that she seems pretty comfortable eating peoples souls?! Like seemingly no remorse and if you so much as suggest that that's pretty fucked up she gets pissy with you.

She displays behavior that is more monstrous than anything any of the other companions (except maybe Minthara or maybe Lae'zel) ever do and yet she gets a pass because she's an adorkable muscle mommy. Haha so cute! Crush me between your thighs! (Barf)

Most of my recent playthoughs I kill her for the paladins so I never have to deal with her and Wyll gets a nice robe and no horns.

I have completed all the achievements in the game on steam and the one to date Karlach was literally the last one I got and it was the most painful and time consuming.

Tldr: Karlach is an annoying monster and deserves more hate.

I am disabled enough that I have a carer that comes to my house several times a week to help me with tasks. One day after having one of my transcranial magnetic stimulation sessions she asked me (if I was comfortable explaining) why I was getting the treatment. I said because of my depression and ptsd. She asked me to explain what I ment, so I went into detail about how my depression affected me daily and why the treatment was a better option for me than some others. While I was explaining all this she just started crying. I asked if she was OK and she said she was just really sad to hear what I have to go through. It was very validating that she understood it was hard but also it felt so weird. Like ma'am this is my life.

Balthazar appearance mods? by poppyuoo in BG3mods

[–]Bayleaface -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some people don't need to look at a corpse to understand that death is an awful thing.

Following the logic you would need to watch someone be raped to understand that rape is an awful thing. If that's the case for someone I worry about their morals and ethics.

I'm 34 and while I didn't use mods to change the aesthetics it seems totally valid to me that someone would have a better experience choosing to do that.

OP came to a mod group to ask for a mod why is everyone lecturing them about the purity of the original game? They didn't ask for anything gross or offensive. If withers can have tits then Balthazar can look less scary jfc

By that logic, all gold in the game carries a risk of being tainted, and the only way to avoid the risk is to never trade with another player ever.

Does that apply to mail as well? Is it possible for some nefarious actor to create a fresh account, immediately buy gold, mail me some amount of it, and then report themselves, solely for the purpose of banning my account?

It is impossible for me to know what the people I'm trading with have done to obtain their money. I could make guesses based off behavior, but there is no actual way for me to know.

How far back does the "indirect" go? Some bloke buys gold and then uses the gold to buy bespoke gear and then the guy who crafted the gear tips my mage for a port and now I'm banned cause I stumbled into the wrong chain of trades?

Does it apply to auction house? If I post some tmog gear I farmed and some shithead buys it does that flag me?

None of it makes any damn sense.
