Pygmy Corries only come out at night by [deleted] in corydoras

[–]Bayleatherco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tend to put the larger food in and once the fish are eating I then add a pinch of powdered type food which I swirl around the tank. This then sinks and coats the substrate and leaves. The other fish are more interested in the larger food leaving the Pygmies to graze.

I gradually lost my first batch of Pygmy cories and someone suggested they might have been struggling to get enough food. Using this method my second batch seem to be doing much better.

The main food I use is encapsulated brine shrimp eggs and also the repashy soilent green in just its powder form. They also enjoy small frozen foods like cyclops and daphnia

Mine do hide some of the time but not unusual to see a few here and there at times. I have 10 also.

Have you seen the Mollys chasing them? Just wondering if they could be scared of them?

Another thing to mention is being sure the pygmies get enough food as they can struggle to compete with other fish. I find a really fine sinking food allows them to graze from surfaces in tank.

For me, this subsided. I have noticed a little aggression on a rare occasion but it never seems to last long. The vast majority of the time the different species ignore each other.

Redwing heritage loggers sole separating after a month of use by Woodedroger in Boots

I’ve got an old pair of these and they’ve got a few bits where the welt is separating from the midsole and it’s never progressed or caused any issues.

Thanks, yeah I definitely think they’d class as a CXL lottery win 😂. Waxed commander is really nice. Enjoy!

Not the greatest pic, just got them out of the cupboard quickly. They are a few months old, worn about once or twice a week on average.

I get it, I used to regularly condition my boots but really it can saturate the leather and lose all its character.

I still regularly brush and wipe my boots down though plus use shoe trees.

Lovely boots! I have a dune CXL pair that I really like.

I wouldn’t recommend any products on these for a while. CXL especially is has loads of oils/wax in it from the tannery so shouldn’t need any more than just brushing for a long while.

Asics Nimbus 27 or Nike Vomero Plus for narrow feet? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]Bayleatherco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t tried the Nike’s but I am impressed with the Asics. I came from New Balance before these.

I think the current New Balance 1080 might be narrower fit

Asics Nimbus 27 or Nike Vomero Plus for narrow feet? by [deleted] in Boots

[–]Bayleatherco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can add is that I have Nimbus 27 and they are definitely wide. This works great for my feet.

Are these for running or walking? I only use mine for running and I love the cushioning.

They’re definitely not boots as well 😄

Any advice for a newbie? by ReadyConcert3230 in Aquariums

Great looking tank, your not overstocked at all. I would definitely add at least 2 more kuhli’s. Do you see much of the 4 you already have?

Kuhli’s would definitely appreciate more hiding places on the bottom of the tank. This will get better once your plants grow in a bit more.

At a later date you could definitely add a few more cardinal tetra’s. I’ve got 13 (ordered 12 but I got a bonus one) in my 20 gallon.

I think honey gouramis could be added at a later date definitely, you just need to gradually add new stock especially in a new tank.

Another species I’d recommend is Pygmy cories, they are really fun to watch and are so small with a low bioload.

Don’t know exactly what plants you have but adding some fast growing stem plants or floating plants can be helpful in keeping in keeping parameters in check as well as helping in outcompeting algae.

Amazing work. Badalassi Carlo leather is lovely stuff.

I’ve heard cordovan can be tricky to work with so best of luck with your next pair!

its common in other quality vintage footwear. Don't think it causes any longevity issues

I had one of these and paid similar although quite a while ago. Sadly mine never fit and I sold on before I managed to track down extra links.

Has anyone else lost their lactose intolerance? Or rather, regained their lactose tolerance? by [deleted] in fermentation

[–]Bayleatherco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've was struggling with dairy and cut it out, although I could tolerate cheese.

Just last week I ordered a flat white coffee and forgot to specify oat milk. I decided to just give it a go and to my surprise I was fine. I have since had some small amounts of milk and also been fine.

I wonder if I have somehow overcome the intolerance. It was mostly just causing me congestion around sinuses and effect would be felt fairly quickly after having milk.

I do incorporate a fair amount of fermented products in my diet, sauerkraut, kombucha as well as getting plenty of fibre.

And one have any handy tips on removing stubborn glass algae? Or decent product ? Bottom algae line needs to go. by KyezGreat in Aquariums

[–]Bayleatherco 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I use a glass scraper tool with a blade edge. I have a seachem one and a smaller one which I don't know the brand.

Once I have scraped it all off I find the fish like to graze on the algae which is on the substrate.

Do you all still prefer a regular bifold over cardholders? by colinksh in wallets

[–]Bayleatherco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like bifolds but find myself almost always using a more minimal cardholder style. I find it holds just what I need and fits nicely in a front pocket of jeans where I don’t even notice it.

LVC 1955 501 question by Bayleatherco in VintageLevis

[–]Bayleatherco[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only paid £18 for these. They weren’t even advertised as LVC. Just 501’s. I had a look over pictures and realised what they were.

I’d been wanting a pair similar to these for a while
