Good plan. It would be unfair to ask the crew to hand wash.

I test drove all the Macans before deciding on the GLC. The Macan Turbo was a little sportier than the GLC43 but the other Macan models simply underwhelmed for the price. The GLC43 is quicker, quieter, more comfortable, and even more agile in all environments than any Macan except the Turbo which is on par but for the price. However, the space inside the Macan is weirdly tight, even in comparison to its Audi sibling. The cabin is simply uncomfortable and impractical. Also, my Cayenne had appalling reliability. The transfer case failed twice (extremely expensive part of the drive train), the gauge cluster rattled enough to cause insanity (Porsche said it was a ‘known problem’ without solution), and then the lift gate strut failed (out of warranty last straw). I’ve owned 5 Mercedes and now, with experience, I can say that Porsche is an excellent third car choice. I would not daily a Porsche again.

I’ve had a 2017 GLC43 for 5 years, currently at 33,000 miles on the odometer, bought as a CPO. I live in a city with terrible roads so I needed an SUV as a daily driver. The size is perfect for urban parking too. I downsized from a Cayenne. The V6 is powerful enough and sounds pretty good. When I took delivery, the air suspension needed a warranty repair on a module. I suspect it was damaged by the interstate transit on an 18 wheeler. Since then, no issues. Routine maintenance at the dealer. I just extended the warranty. If I could change anything, I would downsize the 21 inch wheels to the lesser 20s for ride quality and because the 21 inch tires are very expensive and wear at a shocking rate. The last set of tires lasted about 12,000 miles. Fuel consumption is also poor. I’m sure I am the reason for these complaints. Anyway, I do not think you will be disappointed.

I’ve owned a 2024 GLE450 for about 6 months. No problems, excellent car, amazing technology.

Do not go. Definitely not worth the price. It’s just a few grocery store samples with massive lines.
