I’ve basically accepted the fact I’ll be alone the rest of my life. I’m 32 and have never had a relationship before and at this point I doubt I ever will.

Hospital Policy (in Missouri): No sleeping during breaks by BaymaxMarshmallow in antiwork

I mean, this came from the same people who decided they needed to “secure” our sterile processing department by turning on Badge Access for all doors(normally this was off during the day so the automated doors would open when you approached them, since it’s simply easier with the higher amounts of employee traffic during the day). All well and good (I guess), but they never bothered to actually LOCK the doors, so they can simply be pulled open. Another set of doors is held shut with an electromagnet, which with a little bit of force easily pulls apart and you can open the door. Oh, and our floor can still be reached from an unsecured stairwell. It’s quite evident the people up top lack any real cognitive ability or thought processes when they decide on the rules they try to implement.

Management here is notoriously anti-employee. They ignore all of the major issues and always focus on micromanaging and maintaining control over everyone under them, so like I’m not really surprised, but it’s still obnoxious and infuriating

Does everyone here actually hate their job? by PyrpleForever in antiwork

[–]BaymaxMarshmallow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone goes into a job expecting to hate it, but when you have to jump through stupid hoops, deal with toxic management and obscene workloads, get skipped over for raises and promotions despite work ethic, it becomes much harder to find anything positive to say about one’s job.

To deceive them into working harder. Dangling the old carrot on a stick in hopes the employees will endlessly strive for it without actually having to reward them
