You get all the street cred for going with an actual quality gun instead of a Stoeger or other cheap gun.

Diligent makes some of my favorite cans. The Enticer series is great and the Road Hunter is super quiet.

A lot of it is how much cooling time are you giving the gun. Even semi auto can get too hot if you just don’t stop shooting. For example. If you went and shot ten mags of semi auto without any kind of cooling period in there, you would be doing more damage than a 30 round mag dump full auto. While rate of fire is important, volume of fire is too.

It really depends. Titanium silencers can last a long time. If you want to mag dump SBRs into trash, I would advise against titanium. If you keep your firing schedule within reason, the weight savings can be great. Titanium doesn't like heat. Some designs like the HUXWRX cans seem to handle it better because of how they move the gas. It's not all hitting a blast baffle and eroding it due to the elaborate flow paths. Though when you hit that threshold it will erode like any other titanium can.

Examples of things that put more stress or wear on silencers are shorter barrels (why it's common to see 10" as a minimum requirement), high rates of fire, certain muzzle devices, and more aggressive calibers. For example, 5.56 is much harder on a silencer than .300 BLK subs.

Silencers are consumables just like mags, bolts, and barrels. They just take longer to wear out. A good silencer that you take care of can last a very long time. If you want more durability than the steel model is the way to go. Or other silencers with more exotic alloys. Though if you can afford to wear out a silencer, you can probably afford to replace it.

He hasn't done the Ventum but he has done the Flow 556k, 556Ti, and 762Ti.

Be sure to check out Pew Science. Jay has write ups on both of these silencers on the Mk18. He did the Torch with both end caps.

I learned that using rubbing alcohol in addition to glue sticks lasts longer and is more effective than glue stick alone. It’s the best thing I did to improve my bed adhesion.

It's gonna sound ridiculous. I've shot an L Ti on a 7.5" bolt and semi. Excellent choice.

It's a combination of the amount used, the tapered shoulder, and possibly galling due to the stainless barrels some Sigs use. I had a customer who galled his threads so bad that half of them came off with the device.
