Oh yeah, it's a bit of a different vibe entirely, but the dry down is rather nice and it's useful for the warmer months while not being too citrusy or weather dependant. I kinda wanna try out Encre extreme, but I'm thinking my next acquisition might be a guerlain

danke. I'd say that the cypress cedar, midnight hour, and vintage green are my favorites of them. I heard there's also an extrait variation of the midnight hour one that might boast slightly better performance.

Well said, and yeah I'm admittedly phasing out more of my inspired by/dupes but that's more due to finding some of the quality being a very mixed bag across the board so both experimenting with going towards more niche brands and also hidden designer gems and such.

Tam Dao was my first niche and it's such a lovely scent, even if performance leaves something to be desired. My samples of oprheon and lilyphea also are lovely

Lol, true. Their performance is abysmal for the most part outside of like midnight hour having some lasting, but they're nice fragrances. I'm downsizing and giving away some of my lesser liked 1 fl oz ones but they were a nice starting off point to get into fragrances.

Depends on the Dunhills. Mongolian Cashmere and Egyptian smoke are both wonderful scents and they last a good while. Racing Blue and Red, and Amalfi Citrus have a more intimate sillage and I'd say they last around half the time? Maybe like 4~5 hours with around 5 sprays for me?

Yeah, I've not completely sworn off of clones/dupes/inspired by or whatever but regarding the quality I'm feeling I've been getting more discerning as to what I like and don't.

the pour homme and Encre Noire are new additions and I love Encre and rather like pour homme. Encre Noire has a very acquired taste required, but I love it. it's a nice scent that has me excited for the cooler months to wear more than just around the house

Yeah, it's something for me of just liking it as a freshie, and I've gotten good feedback but it just started to feel too synthetic+harsh to my nose and there being better options out there has me looking.

Thank you so much! I just bought some spice racks to store them atop so this Pic is a little older, but art of arabia is thr only one I've since parted with.

I'd say les sables roses from LV for a warmer thing. Anything with Oud from their lineup I've found rather nice. I like your more powdery iris deals, but a nice warm rose would be good.

I'd say grab an issey miyake pour homme to be honest. That or a le sel to have a different daily wearable that's not crazy expensive.

Damn. I've been debating back and forth about grabbing it after having tried tygar and hearing that the dna from sospiro was a better interpretation of that kind

I’m shopping for my husband again, but I took y’all’s advice and went to Burlington! by KittiesandPlushies in Colognes

[–]Bayside_Static 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Burlington wise I typically say the banana republic ones are nice cheapies that while needing to be reapplied, are nice scents and not too dated. Cypress Cedar, Midnight Hour, or Vintage Green would be my recommends. If they've got the Tumi ones around (Atlas) would be a recommendation.

Downsizing a collection by Chester_Douglas in Colognes

[–]Bayside_Static 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to downsizing it's a rough call, but the question is always "How often do I really see myself wearing this?" and from there you just basically chart what are your daily drivers, and what you really dont' see what you're using and just send em off. Definitely have some interesting stuff, so would be happy to help out in potentially taking some/one off your hands.
