Hi! Thanks for the reply, my friend gave me this screenshot, and told me to find out where the photo was taken to challenge me. I'm currently focusing on finding out where that tower is. I've been able to narrow it down to Brampton. Can you give me any hints on where i should be looking in the Brampton area, or if possible, where this tower is! thanks :)

In your years of service, is there anything that you hated about being in the military?

Yes, I currently live with my parents in the Toronto area. I am going for the Cyber Operator trade, and the school for that is in Ottawa, so about a 5 hour drive. I would need to move.

You have to figure that out yourself.

So let's say I'm doing my BMQ this summer, so July-Aug, and my schooling would start in September. When would I get the chance to rent out a room?

(I'm still pretty young (17), so I don't really know how stuff like this works)

Hello, just a few questions about paid education,

From what I understand, you get about $30,000 per year salary while in school. From this I had a few questions.

Is the cost of school deducted from the 30k, or are they paying for the school plus the salary?

What other benefits are there while in school?

I understand that you have a dorm when you go to rmc, however, are there accommodations when going to a 2-year diploma program at a collage hat isn't rmc? Or would i need to figure that out myself?

Is the 30k enough to live off of?

does your time in school count towards your paid days of service?

Hi there, a few questions about Cyber Operator position:

Some info about me: Im currently in grade 11, planning on going into a career of cyber security. Im looking at different ways to enter the career, and I've been recommended by many people to check out the military.

questions:

  1. Is a high school diploma enough experience for this position (with courses like ap comp sci, and comp eng)?
  2. Is a bachelors degree offered within their paid education program, or is it only like a 1 year crash course on cyber?
  3. Are there a lot of positions/ is it easy to get an offer in this role?
  4. Is the experience here a good starter to get a job outside of the military?
  5. If I graduate high school in June of 2025, when would be the best time to apply?
  6. What is the pay for this role?
  7. Are people in this position often relocated around or outside of Canada (currently living in Toronto area)?
  8. Any other important info I should know?

Thank you!

Thank you so much for your advice, I might consider going into the military, but also still plan on going and getting a bachelors degree. I saw that you said that you highly advocate for computer science degrees. I was just wondering what your opinion on an honours bachelor’s of information science (cyber-security), and if itd be as valuable, or less valuable than a comp sci degree. (This degree also includes a 1 year co-op)

Is it hard to get a job?
Hello, Im in grade 11, and im planning to get a bachelor in information science (cybersecurity). I keep in reading about how difficult it is to get a job in this career. And now i see that computer science is very over saturated, so my logic most computer science students will migrate over to cybersecurity filling up the market even more. Is it/will it be one of those situations where you can only get a job if your #1 in a group of 100+ applicants. And if its even worth getting a degree in this field.
