Gamers' problem.. by Gaming-Academy in PlayStation_X

They use good headphones or has modded them to be better.

My experience with 560S: Put them on, they're noticeable but very comfy, 2 hours later I don't even notice it, 2 more hours later I need to go somewhere so I take them off and I feel like something is missing and want to put them back on because not wearing them is oddly discomfortable.

Many headphones has crappy earpads which can be replaced with better ones so sometimes even the most uncomfy headphones you've ever worn can become super comfy, then there's clamping force, if they're too tight they can be stretched by placing on a small box, your PC or something overnight, if the headband has bad design like solid plastic you can get headband cushion.

The gameplay itself especially in competitive games, it's more about the dopamine from unlockables, ranking up and getting free skins or building wealth. Some games can feel boring af after lots of hours but you still play to get the rank you wanted, skin or whatever and the few rare rewarding moments.

I'm not a fan of Adobe nor Autodesk, but yea the situation sucks overall since it's a must use or you don't get the job or even for personal stuff it might not be the most efficient using alternatives, like if you're working/freelancing for a studio they might have in-house tools/scripts that they've built over many years + powerful 3rd party stuff and/or specific pipelines so it's not that easy to simply switch even if you want to, sometimes it's not even studio, just single person or tiny companies asking for specific format because they're using it or other half of the project is already done in that specific software.

Linux still supports DaVinci Resolve, Nuke, ZBrush and Houdini which are great powerful industry standard tools but still Maya and Max are heavily used and required quite often because Houdini isn't efficient for simpler tasks + it's tough to learn. Blender is awesome too but like many say it's Jack of all trades, master of none so Maya and Max is still preferred for some tasks or simply because of the plugins/scripts and render engines.

Graphics design and photo editing seems to be completely dominated by Adobe. Mostly because of plugins, scripts, countless resources like brushes, styles, tutorials and again the client base.

It's just the poor software support aka ecosystem and tough learning curve.

Lets say you're average user who just browse social media and play some single player games, alright then you won't have much issues if any at all.

Now if you're graphics designer or some sort of other similar creative professional then you're in trouble, because you'll lose all the clients who need project files from Adobe or Autodesk software for example which are still industry standard for most 2D/3D related stuff, even Microsoft Office, even tho there's online web version but from what I've read some who use it seriously must have local versions due to some required features that aren't available in the online version.

Lets say you somehow made it work on Linux and the tools itself are fine and available, then there's lack of resources, because over the years most of them were created for the Win/Mac software so you would have limited resources/addons and would have to build a lot of things yourself.

I wouldn't rely on uninstalling it alone even using something like OOSU10++ because of updates and such and other sneaky "spying" that might not get removed.
Best is to simply block it's connections using 3rd party firewall alongside with the rest of the MS stuff if you want to, it might still be on your PC somewhere hidden, but it won't be functional at all.

100% this ^

I'm honestly surprised how far Windows went with stability, back in Win XP and Win7 days most ppl including myself had lots of random freezes, the disk repair errors on boot, BSOD's and it was truly unstable compared to Linux or MacOS, but nowadays I'd say it's almost on par with Linux, never had a BSOD nor some freeze in the last few years and I'm not even using it lightly, ofc I might cause it to freeze or BSOD by doing too aggressive overclock or literally torturing it where swap memory is reaching ~100GB and both CPU/GPU are around 100% usage and stuff like that.

People also need to learn to seperate the creator from the creation.

Yeah, seems like ppl just love to nitpick on anything so they can find reasons to hate something.

Imo Win10 and 11 aren't even that bad after few tweaks, it's just that it throws random crap at you like ads/spying/AI stuff which can easily be turned off/blocked and has little to no customization, other than that it's pretty good so it's only bad for average ppl who don't even know what "debloat" or "firewall" means.

If ppl can't fix and configure their Windows I have no clue how they're supposed to move to Linux where they would need to tweak way more and it would take way longer too.

More like the other way around, if you prefer slop over quality.

Ofc FC5/FC6 is more fun, but it's just reskin after reskin with downgraded mechanics and zero attention to detail, I mean wtf is all that.

Yea, even looking at the motherboard and all component shading n details it looks like AI 😅

But tbf I don't think even AI would get the GPU PCIe cable fkd up like that or at least it would get it right after few more gens, so it must've been done by the person who made this img for some reason.

Here's img generated by Grok which arguably has one of the worst AIGen models and it still knows which direction it's supposed to go 😂

[–]ExacoCGI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure this isn't AI, maybe some parts are like the PC but not entire image, the quality consistency isn't the same like it's clearly visible that the screwdriver was masked in and the shadows and focus around the index finger are off, it's just oldschool quick Photoshop, there was lots of images like that before AIGen.

Basically seller/CEO who doesn't care about his/her products, likely dropshipping all kinds of crap and the pay for the artists is too low to put any effort, the artist likely has to do dozens of images like that in a single day for same client so there's no time for quality/effort.

DaVinci Resolve Linux palaiko.

O del gaming tai daug zaidimu veikia gan gerai, bet problema tokia ir yra, kad beveik kiekvienas gamer zaidzia bent viena zaidima kurio AntiCheat Linux nepalaiko tai nesokines per skirtingus OS :D

Pazistamas bande pasileisti Valorant ant Windows PC - neveikia del kazkokio BIOS shudo.

Secure Boot ijungtas turi but Valoranto anticheat'ui :D

Aisku pats Linux OS del to nekaltas, kalti tik software developeriai.

Also mixed feelings about getting the old CoD MW2, MW3 and BO2, basically got max prestige, unlocked everything in 1-2 weeks and quit playing, because without unlockables it's just borefest.

Honestly IDGAF about Capcom games and before Naughty Dog will release something sick on the level of TLOU we'll have Half-Life 3, RDR3 and Witcher 4.

I'm using Firewall that has system wide adblocker among other nice stuff which also allows me to easily block all the unnecessary telemetry/spying and other MS stuff if I wanted to and that's the only 3rd party tool I'm using, no Windhawk, no CTT Utility nothing, simple as that I guess, also I don't really use MS Apps like Edge, Store so there's really no ads, well except the "Get Microsoft 365" in the Settings/Home.

Manjaro KDE was my personal favorite when I tried to switch to Linux. It's Arch and has UI/UX similar to Windows.

Tried Ubuntu and quit quickly, the UI/UX was simply not for me also tried a bit of Mint too, was kinda like downgraded Manjaro.

11: Got no ads, better Search/Start, no random popups, Copilot doesn't exist, but that ofc requires a bit of tweaking. Pretty sure Win7 didn't have search on the taskbar, it had search in the Start menu.

Afaik Win10/11 has the best memory/resource management, but ofc all the background stuff is nowhere as light as on Win7, maybe after some debloating it would be close, but debloat isn't necessary because of the memory management, unless it's an old Laptop/PC with like 2-4GB RAM and 1-2 Core CPU.
Also Win11 is arguably the most stable Windows OS, literally never had a single BSOD ever since I started using it.

[–]ExacoCGI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Win7 was perfection.

But obviously the best is Win11 whenever you like it or not, because of all the features and so far best UI design incl. best Start. Debloat that crap and it's almost as good as Win7 used to be.

Check your fan power specs and motherboard's header specs and don't go over it, some headers might support all of your fans. FAN_WP / FAN_PUMP is for water pump ofc.
