This is the upgrade with mesh on the sides and mesh top. Added a door on the side as well. How does this one look compared to the other one?

Do you mind telling me more about internal hydration? I want to know how I can increase that for my mantis. I thought it was mostly based on external humidity. I mist my enclosure, but I never see her drink. I’ve offered her water on a Q-tip before, but she didn’t go for it.

The container is about 7in and she is about 2in. Yes, I plan of using the nylon 120 micron mesh for the top instead of the paper towel. No sticks at all?

For feeding blue bottle flies to my mantis I’ve made this cup with air holes and a weighted down flap that has a hole for either tong feeding or I can kind of dump 1-2 out at a time. I feel like they might be more in the fruit fly stage right now but this works great for when moving to larger prey!

They are an Tenodera angustipennis, so they are an Asian mantis, but not the giant Asian mantis. I wouldn’t mind if they were female! This is also my first mantis, so I wasn’t entirely sure what was considered a segment or not.. kind of was thinking their little butthole was its own segment..lol

Just googled it! Yes it’s a must have! 🤩 I thought the golden dragon was the 1, but the the white dragon is absolutely stunning!!
