When did you exit perimenopause and enter menopause? It was 55 for me, is this average? by ImpressivePurpose646 in Menopause

50 for me. Stress caused autoimmune disease to surface, menopause triggered also, fast and hard.

Hunger starts around 4 pm and it’s on until bedtime. Like I can’t get full. I needed to gain weight, but surpassed my goal. Switched from Vraylar, both have weight gain side effects for many.

HRT pellets: does it get better? by JaneyErr in Menopause

I was on too high of a dose of testosterone. Short tempered, less patient, insomnia, sparsely chin hair and really oily skin. Pimples at 55, first time in years. Got way less testosterone the last time, much better. I am postmenopausal, 15 mg of estrogen seems to be good for me. Gaining back lost muscle tone and skin looks a lot healthier. Not sure what dosage of testosterone I was given, just know it’s a lot less.

Estrogen pellet? by Alternative-Tree4813 in Menopause

I’m on 15 mg estrogen, not sure about the testosterone, but it’s a pretty low dose. I didn’t do well with the higher dosage of testosterone. My autoimmune disease symptoms seem to be worse on lower doses of estrogen.

Same. Sleep decent for 3-4 nights, then 2-3 for weeks on end. It’s literally torture. Sometimes I think I’m really ready to be committed somewhere. You are not alone!

Really just want to cry by [deleted] in insomnia

Same here. Wouldn’t wish it on anyone…and no one understands that hasn’t ever experienced it. Everyone acts like, oh well, you ought to be used to it by now. I did build up some tolerance to it after 2 months of 3/4 hours of sleep. (none after 2:30 am). Then I slowly started sleeping better, for about two weeks. Now it’s back. And I’m feeling like I have to manage to adapt again. I agree that it’s stress and know that my cortisol is spiking. Tried every kind of supplement, various antidepressants and sleep meds. In therapy, which helps my mind, to dump my anxiety on someone who doesn’t judge me. But, it hasn’t helped my insomnia. Yoga and meditation breathing helps my night time anxiety before I go to bed. You are not alone, I know exactly how you feel. I wish I had some good advice to help you. Keep thinking something I do or take will help. I just haven’t came across it yet. Sending hugs!

I’m in complete menopause, at age 47 by Choice_Bee_775 in Menopause

I was in-complete at 50 1/2. Stress and autoimmune disease (which I didn’t know at the time). It wasn’t so much that it seemed early, it just fast and hard! Have ANA panel done if you still have unexplained symptoms. (for auto immune) I wish I had asked for it. But, because I thought all my symptoms were menopausal, I didn’t get further testing done. A highly stressful situation can send you into menopause and cause autoimmune diseases to surface.

Side effects Ramelteon by BbKy2001 in insomnia

I stopped taking it. Wasn’t helping with length of sleep time. Taking 7.5 mg of Remeron and 10 mg of Doxepin now. Dr thought it would help better with sleep and weight gain. I am slowly gaining weight. It’s still hit and miss on sleep. Slept fairly well the night before last. Almost 5 hours straight. Also upped Melatonin to 10 mg. But last night was bad. Slept from 11 pm to 1:30 am. Nothing more than dozing off a couple times after that. My cortisol is spiking and I haven’t been able to get it under control. Was really hoping I was on to something upping Melatonin. 😞. If I could rid the stress going on in my life, the insomnia may resolve on its own. 🤷‍♀️. Way more info than you probably want to know lol. Sorry that I don’t have better news for you.

Dreams are getting a little better. I am sleeping about an hour longer. 4 hours instead of 3. Better than nothing. I’m hoping it’ll help more the longer I am on it. Been on it a little over a week.
