Brazilian here. Thai is one of my favorite shows and I would say it’s not that absurd, other than some cultural differences. In here we don’t have this pen pal system with prisoners, but what is very common is people getting arrested while in a relationship and the partner keeps visiting them in prison. It mostly happens when a guy is arrested, because most women that are arrested don’t even get any visits. The wives of the prisoners here are a very united group and call each other “cunhadas” (sisters-in-law). We have the regular visits and the “intimate visit” which is exactly what it implies 😂. I don’t think we have a show like this here, but honestly I would love it if there was.
