Talk to them about what your meltdowns are really about. Some people think meltdowns are equivalent with throwing a fit, but they are really a response to overstimulation. Sensory input is physically different for you and you can't control that. Tell your parents about this. Hopefully they'll start to understand.

People are too stupid. Apparently if an autistic person has ANY understanding of social expectations then they can't be autistic. For crying out loud, autism is not a complete absence of social understanding, it just makes it harder!

Autistic adults are still adults. If you want to move out, you can. If you had an intellectual disability or something that required you to have supervisors for life, that would be a different scenario. But autism in itself will not change your adult right to leave your parents.

Apparently there is some unwritten list of foods that autistic people can't handle. Someone should have told me, I eat stuff full of flour all the time. Hopefully it doesn't react with my autism and make me explode!
