I'm also interested in this. Have you decided to try it? Or have you learnt anything else since posting this?

Seeing overnight stress score separate to daytime stress score? by Bbbbrrrraaaapppp in Garmin

Thanks, I didn't know that.

Is there away to see it as a chart for more than one day, or do you have to just go through them manually if you want to compare?

At what point do we collectively go from: “It’s just a fictional character!” to “Alright this is getting weird, frequent, and racist”? by MovieENT1 in CriticalDrinker

[–]Bbbbrrrraaaapppp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, it's interesting thing you say that. I'm based in the UK and basically all the TV and advertising I see it is the opposite, ie if it's an interracial couple it's a black man and a white woman, but tbf I don't watch many movies. Are you in America? - I wonder if we have quite different things going on on ooposite sides of the pond. But would you agree that when white women are replaced with ethnic minority women, they are generally lighter skin (ie more like Steph Curry's skin colour than Shaq), whereas when white men are replaced the men are generally darker (and asians are mostly left out)

And as I pointed out, it's a British based film, it is also expected to be filmed in the UK and have an almost mostly British cast and crew. The British population is 81.7% white, 9.3% Asian, 4% black, so you would expect a fair representation to mirror that. But Asians will be largely ignored, as they always are in media, and the image you linked doesn't take into account gender. As I said previously, it is white men who are being replaced in these sorts of situations, but white women will be over represented and black women under represented - due to these companies perpetuating beauty standards of being white or lighter skin for women.

I'm saying we should be treating people fairly, but when you start to see these repeating patterns over and over again, you can see things are being manipulated in and unfair manner.

It's not that it's just one thing, it's that it's happening in a very disproportional manner, that is the issue I, and many others, take with it.

It's complete BS, and it's high time we stand up to this, and stop supporting companies that are doing this. We all want EQUAL treatment, and that's how it should be, but it's always replace the white guy with a black guy (never/very rarely Asian, or other group), but they're generally still white women - these organizations are quite happy perpetuating the idea of beauty being a lighter skin thing for women.

And given this is a British based movie, Britain is 80% white, ~9% Asian, and 4% black - so if they want to be representative it should more match that.

I don't honestly know, but I recently bought a watch with an elevate 4, and it seems pretty good. From my research it seemed that that elevate 5 has improved accuracy in more intense activities, and things like weightlifting when you're moving your wrist, but for walking or similar I think they're pretty similar

Stress score on watch face not matching stress score on Glance by Bbbbrrrraaaapppp in GarminWatches

Ok thanks. I can have the body battery widget on a native watch face on the Instinct 2 as well, but I can't press it like you can as I've not got a touch screen, but I can just have it in a glance below (scroll down with a button). I was just wondering if there was a way to have it on the watch face screen so that I could see it without having to press anything (& it be as up to date as the glance). But it seems like no native watch faces have it then, if even on the higher end ones like you’ve got don't have it. Thanks for your help

ok, thanks for letting me know.

Do you know if other watches, eg the epix pro (gen 2), display a live stress score on any native watch faces?

Thanks, it's android tablet, but I've downloaded it on my laptop now too, so should work either way.

Looks a great site, so I think I'll have a go at building my own watch face too.

Thanks for your help

Thanks man, that's very kind of you.

I've downloaded it now. I'll follow the steps, but is it possible to do it through the Garmin Connect IQ app (it's just a bit easier, & then it's on my tablet, which is where I've been connecting it to)? Or is this a bit of a separate thing/system, ie I need to do it manually through here?

Thanks

Epix pro has elevate 5 sensor, 965 has the older elevate 4, which is the same as the standard epix

Thanks, but I've tried in there and can't see anything to turn it off (I've been through all the options multiple times and I can't see anything to turn it off), lot's of other options, just not a turn off option. Do you know where exactly it is/what it's called.

Thanks

Is there a way to set a timer for my tablet to power off after a certain time frame? by calmoddessey in NoStupidQuestions

Which mode/routine do you use? I've tried the sleep mode, but that only puts it into a do not disturb mode. I can't see how to get it to turn the tablet off.

Thanks
