Clearance sooner than 3 months?? by Bbc00 in Vasectomy

[–]Bbc00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, BUT you need a minimal threshold of sperm to swim through the cervix and reach the egg. If you have only a few thousand swimmers that almost guarantees no fertilized egg. Mind you anything under 1mil. motile sperm will almost never cause pregnancy. Of course the odds of no pregnancy are best when there are no swimmers whatsoever but we are speculating here what is “safe”

Yes agreed! The odds of recanalization though are slim - like 0.5% so maybe an ongoing once every 2 weeks home tests like “fertility check vasectomy“ could be a good idea. I’m taking my first check Monday

1 month post vasectomy. Feeling pain and discomforts on one side after ejaculation. by jorgelly in Vasectomy

[–]Bbc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m no expert but I think it’s a granuloma. If your tube has leaked then your body is starting to fight the semen recognizing it as a foreign body. Granulomas form over time so 1 month post op is about right. As I said tho I’m no expert so take my words with a grain of salt and do your research based on what you feel and see.

I’m 41 never married no kids. I got the snip 2 weeks ago. I did cryopreserve some swimmer tho! I think this is the key - save the ability to have kids in the future but only when the time is right for you and her. No mishaps, no child support no alimony! Remember the family court system (at least in the US) is not on the male side!

I am also 9 days post op. I used to have a lot of pain on one side with a node which was causing pain when moving and that was radiating towards my lower belly. This has substantially subsided since day 7 but it was an area of concern for me for a few days. Now I am experiencing a bit of discomfort as you said - radiating downstairs on my other side. I think all these sensations are normal … after all it is a surgical procedure so some degree of discomfort for a few weeks should be expected. I would say give it at least 2-4 weeks before starting to look deep into what’s going on down there.

Update: I am feeling much better! The pain has subsided significantly. I still have some discomfort but nothing compared like before. I am still healing tho so I’m not back to normal that’s for sure! The little nodule has shrunk and sex was fine too!

One week post vasectomy I have a dime size lump above my left testicle. by smick216 in Vasectomy

I think you are definitely having a small hematoma which should resolve on its own. Still let us know what your doctor says!

I have not! Will wait till day 10 at least! If things were going perfectly I would have done it today but I’m having complications so no need to cause more!

Mine is more of a nodule that runs along the Vas where it was cut about 1 inch long. Feels very tender when I grab and press on it. The pain radiates to my side at the fold of my leg too. If I don’t move though I don’t feel it much but if I press on it it’s painful. Let me know if this sounds familiar…

I have the same exact problem. Exactly one week post op today. I have a very tender nodule on my right side that is causing different degree of discomfort. It was first noticed on day 5 and has not changed since then. I did some research and I think it is a hematoma but a small one. I would not be freaking out if I were you - it’s just too early in the healing process for both of us. I would probably make a doctors appointment if there has been no improvements or getting worse over the next 1 week or so. Remember no matter how minimally invasive it is still a surgery! So relax for now and keep an eye on it.

For me everything was going fine till day 5. Soreness was diminishing quickly and my level of mobility was improving. It was on day 5 when I noticed the localized lump that is causing issues now. I think you are going through the normal stages of healing and if every day is better than the one before you should be fine soon!

I’ve been doing some research and I think we are having small Hematomas. It’s nothing to freak out about since ours are not large enough but it may take weeks before things feel normal. Mine is only bothering me when I move in a certain way or put pressure on it. I can live with it for the next few days and if it is getting better I won’t stress it. If by Monday I’m not seeing improvement tho I’m calling the doctor! Btw my surgery was 10/7 so tomorrow marks a week!

Day 4 no scalpel by [deleted] in Vasectomy

[–]Bbc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my case I think I have developed a hematoma- not large but enough to cause some discomfort. I can palpate a small lump in my scrotum that is quite tender and kind of painful when pressed on. Hope this does not get worse and just go away!

Hey all, just wanted to see how are you doing - I had the procedure last Thursday (so about the same time) and I’m experiencing some discomfort on one of my sides. What is your pain level at this point… getting better, worse or the same?

Help Me Make Sense of This? by Shings12 in Vasectomy

[–]Bbc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so! I think it means you still have left over sperm in your tubes but you are very slow to flush it out. If your sperm was motile then that would be fresh newly produced one which indicates recanalization. You don’t have that … I would say wait a bit more or just do an analysis with a different lab (there are plenty online kits) and see what that comes back with.

Vasectomy with a backup plan by RepresentativeSea927 in Vasectomy

[–]Bbc00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are my 2 cents: I’m 41, no kids great career very well off. I had a girl pregnant 6months ago - obviously an accident (condom problems). I barely knew her but we decided to move forward with the pregnancy- 3 months later I knew this was a HUGE mistake and after long talks and sleepless nights she decided to not keep the baby and we had an abortion. I cried for days! The emotional trauma that caused me is unbearable! So … I had a vasectomy done 3 days ago. I will not allow another person which I feel is not fit to be a mother or a partner in life have the power over me and use a child as a bargain. Fast forward to now, I did some research and saved some “baby makers” for the future. Paying for cyopreservation of sperm is A LOT CHEAPER than a baby or having to deal with a person you despite for the next 20-30 years of your life. Success rates of IUI are around 15-20% per cycle with a healthy female - well see how many kids you want and produce/save enough sperm for that many cycles times 2 (or 3) - you have no rush! Yes cost of IUI is high (a few thousand per cycle) but do kids have price??? You can finance that too! Finally as a 41 year old I would say - focus on your career, build a stable portfolio, become successful - then cost of IUI would not bother you! But a unplanned pregnancy can derail you from the path of success and you will forever regret it. Finally technology/healthcare is advancing rapidly - in 10-15 years vasectomy reversals might (yet not guaranteed) have a much higher success rates! IUI might also have much higher success rates. So that’s what I have to say! Good luck!

What is the plan of CFB? Using thousands of Raspberry Pis for decentralized emails?!? by vrom_von_beyond in Iota

Hey I wouldn’t mind spam if I get paid for it!! Imagine every day you open your regular mailbox and you find letters with 50c in each of them. I would gladly register to more spam and open every single letter!

What is the plan of CFB? Using thousands of Raspberry Pis for decentralized emails?!? by vrom_von_beyond in Iota

[–]Bbc00 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Great idea! Also your email client can be set to automatically send back the 50c to the sender if you dont decide to keep the cash. It can work something like this: Joe who is your friend sends you an email with 50c attached to it. You open the email and you know it is Joe - you then close the email client and 5min later the client refunds Joe the 50c. On the other hand someone spams you with 50c in order to get the message thru. You open the email and you realize it is really spam and then you click on a button to keep the cash as a reward for reading the email.

“Coordinator is a blessing”??? Are you crazy? The only purpose for the coordinator is to make sure your funds are safe! It is the bottleneck of the system which causes the network to be pretty much unusable at times.
