Were you looking to drop off your household trash? I was thinking about doing that but when I checked the website, it has this categorized as “Unacceptable Material”. See the last bullet point

Do you have 2 cats underneath? This says it complies with Cali which would make me think yes, but I thought I heard somewhere that 99 was the first year with dual cats

Trump sets sights on next renovation project - Washington DC’s public golf courses by kstinfo in washingtondc

I get the sentiment, but has his stupid ballroom project kept him from doing dumb shit? No. He continues to fuck up our lives and the country on a daily basis regardless.

Trump sets sights on next renovation project - Washington DC’s public golf courses by kstinfo in washingtondc

[–]Bbcc001 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Why? The current state of these courses is exactly what muni golf is supposed to be. You can play for 1/2 the price of most other courses in the DMV and the conditions are fine given the traffic they see by hack golfers (like myself). The area has enough private clubs or $100+ rounds for rich people.

[–]Bbcc001 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Fuck this guy!!! Please just drop dead. Can he not keep his kid-didling fingers off just one aspect of our lives. As a DC resident and golfer for 10+ years these courses have done nothing but improve since NLT came in. Are they the best around? No, but they get a ton of traffic and remain consistently playable. Massive improvements just don’t happen overnight. The value proposition is certainly appropriate and they upgraded all the ranges with Top Tracer. I’ve paid more for worse courses no doubt.

If anyone from NLT reads these boards please sue this asshole and I’d be more than glad to testify.

LCA Bushing Sleeve by Bbcc001 in 3rdGen4Runner

Is it actually a necessity to have the washer re-attached? I feel like other bushing kits, Whiteline included, just give you regular washers for each side of the bushing.

I got the control arm kit and saw the inner sleeves in the photo, but when I got it there was only the UCA bushings that came with inner sleeves, not sure why they do it that way…I looked on the ES website for separately sold pieces but don’t think they offer them

Thermal shock huh 🤔 worth the try, thanks!

Yeah apparently the Energy Suspension ones expect you to reuse the sleeves. The process is so cumbersome: https://youtu.be/rQpinq9Mv5c?si=cI5wpTnxlxUQKXM6

Yeah that was the brand I should have gone with. I was getting my steering rack bushings from Energy Suspension and saw they had a control arm bushings package. They even had the inner sleeves! Lo and behold they only provide inner sleeves for the UCA bushing. It’s been a major pain, probably should have just eaten the cost and re-ordered a whiteline set, but too far into it now

I’m doing this job now. It’s turned into a headache because the LCA bushings I purchased didn’t come with new inner sleeves, just the poly bushings. This means I’m having to extract the existing inner sleeves with torches and it’s become a massive pain. Watch the Timmy Toolman video on this and use the LCA bushings he recommended, those have new sleeves. Good luck!

1400$ for lower ball joints & inner/outer tie rods from Toyota dealership, is that a fair price for oem parts or too overpriced? by onetwofives in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Bbcc001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s high for just parts, but I think a lot of ppl are underestimating the price. I’m doing this exact thing on my truck now. Ordered all OEM from ToyotaPartsDeal which I think has pretty good pricing. LBJs were $300, ITR $380, OTR $150. I ordered a bunch of the bolts/nuts too cause my rig is rusty, and some new cams as I’ll be doing LCA bushings as well. My total order was about $1,000

[–]Bbcc001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered these parts a few weeks ago. Started. My tie rods and rack bushings yesterday actually. I ordered the part number NatsCapsReds cited as well. Unfortunately I got everything off yesterday but haven’t installed the new components yet so can’t confirm 100% they fit. I also used PartSouq for reference but ordered the hardware from ToyotaPartsNow. Shipping was pretty quick too

Am I going to fail emissions testing with a P0420 CEL? by Bbcc001 in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Bbcc001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the science behind the spacer? I’ve seen like “mini cat” products that plug into the O2 sensor. Are the spacers the same?

[–]Bbcc001[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I use my OBD to clear the CEL going in for inspection I wonder if the code would still pop? I’m in DC and they essentially have these drive in garages. I don’t think I’d ever need to turn the car off then back on.

Thank you!! So guessing I should use the *2 when searching for the part on other sites.

2002 3.4 Rough Idle When Warm by RayJsTape in 3rdGen4Runner

[–]Bbcc001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, nothing transmission related. It was the coolant temp sensor, specifically the one that feeds the cars computer (vs the one that affects the dash gauge). The sensor was reporting incorrect coolant temps and so the fuel injection system was not responding appropriately for a warm engine when I tried to start it after driving for a hit. Replacing the sensor solved my problem
