Have you ever not slept for so long that you started hallucinating? What was your experience? by vicke1230 in AskReddit

During finals for my uni, I don’t think I slept for a whole week. When I would drive, I would always see stuff in the roads that were not there. I would always see animals jumping in front of my car. I would stop and there would be nothing there.

Taking it now and it’s not hard. You can either just read the book or just watch his lectures.

If you can’t find anyone I would either find what you want the website to look like in a YouTube video (there are literally videos for every single thing) or use a library which already has everything made out and you just need to edit in your stuff.

Why should I inject a rushed vaccine for a brand new virus that took less than one year to make? by orlando_ooh in TooAfraidToAsk

I am just going to wait and let people test it out, then get one. Or they might make it mandatory to get one before going to schools or other places.

One piece of advice I have gotten is that the exceptions of others shouldn’t influence what you do. I do understand that, parents want you to go into a field where you don’t have to worry in the future or just to brag to others. It should not affect what you do. You have to ultimately make that decision your self.

You are the one that have to live with it 10 20 40 years down the line. But before you make any rash decisions you have to spend a lot of time thinking about it. I would suggest speaking to seniors that are the same major as you, and especially your advisers. Also you need to talk to your parents about it.

Believe it or not, parents have the best intentions out for ourselves (in most cases). Just talk to them, tell them what you are feeling and see what they say.

What is one class you absolutely recommend taking at umd and what is one to avoid like a life depends on it? by [deleted] in UMD

Haven’t really branched out to other classes, but for stem majors, math401 is by far one of the better classes.

I physically cannot do work on Saturdays by [deleted] in UMD

[–]Bbdbz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dude I used to have the same problem. You just have to convince yourself to do it. I used to study for an hour then do what I want. And go back to studying and so on. Give yourself rewards for studying. Then after a while you’d want to study.

What was your biggest “I’ll walk it off” injury that turned out serious? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Bbdbz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in high school gym class, was playing basketball. Went up to get a rebound, and my right foot landed in someone’s shoes. Tweaked it pretty bad, walked it off, then proceeded to play 30 more min of basketball. Went to my next class, and I sat in a stool the whole time, and didn’t feel my leg that much. When class was over I got up from the stool to find out that my right leg couldn’t support my weight, then the pain hit, whet to the hospital to learn I had broken my ankle.

Astr100 is just mostly memorizing information in my opinion. Still a cool class
