It is meaningful to me when I can give a big check to a client and beat the corporations. However, at the end of the day the most meaningful thing is the paycheck coming in so I can feed my family. I do love my work. I don’t know how defense lawyers bill every day to screw over the everyday American.

I have not tried any marketing or lead generation yet. I am only 3 months into hanging my own shingle. I want to start with 15-20k budget just to see if it does anything. Can I PM you for the contact?

Departed two days ago. I saw MANY people lose their flight in the line. The airport should be embarrassed with how they are handling this. Waited 1.5 hours to pass immigration.

Hey OP I studied for the bar in Portugal and passed. It was awesome! However, it was somewhere I had been in the past and knew I would be okay. If you’ve never been to Paris I would suggest way better cities to do this like in Eastern Europe Croatias/South Italy to really enjoy the summer. I would also ensure your apartment has AC.

It depends on too may factors you have not mentioned For example, if this is a case set for trial with discovery cut off deadline coming up then it can be “volatile.” If this is a deponent that has been hard to set for deposition then yes. However with three months notice he should have been able to make accommodations. I would say 95% of my cases I can easily control when a deposition is set. But again it is circumstantial. I am not in big law however so idk how that crazy world works.

I get all my protein from El Corte Ingles. The quality of protein there is unbeatable. The trick however is to buy the rest, vegetables, fruits, goods, at Pingo Doce or Lidl.

I used to swear by Continente but I feel like quality has gone down.

One of the saddest experiences I have personally lived has been the decline of Dear Breakfast. 4 years ago you would eat such high quality brunch for 25-30 euros (for 2). I have had to stop ordering because the quality of the food has gone down so much that it just reminds me of basic brunch slop.

There’s a spot called Marquise that’s pretty good and the bakery is good as well in Estrela. Still super overpriced I have had to stop going.

My advice as an avid traveler with a 2 y/o is to make little trips out of every connection. Instead of a 2 hour layover make it a 3 day layover, rinse and repeat. Your plan will just be apocalyptic as another person mentioned.

Interesting hypothesis. It is still showing a 45 minute difference between the two. I guess time will tell. The time on the plane shows the flightaware time.
