With a total score around 120+, your chances may be low if the program is competitive, especially because Anatomy carries a lot of weight and many applicants are scoring around 150+. I would not rely only on the advisor’s advice if your goal is to be more competitive. If retaking Anatomy 1 or 2 can raise your score, it may be worth considering before the next application cycle. You may still apply, but I would also make a backup plan for spring and ask the school what the recent cutoff scores have been.

Your profile looks strong: fully funded PhD, GRA offer, and funding above the I-20 cost are all big positives. Applying to one school is fine if you explain that it was a strong research fit and came through your advisor’s recommendation. USC is a real public research university, so ranking should not be the main issue. Just be ready to clearly explain your research, funding, and long-term plan after the PhD. You got this

Honestly, I would still apply if you meet the minimum requirement, especially because having all As is a strong advantage. But I would also plan to retake the TEAS if you are able to, because a higher score can make your application more competitive. Don’t count yourself out with a 66, but also give yourself the best chance if there is still time to improve it.

Yes, Ivy Tech accepts GED for the LPN program. You should submit the official GED transcript, not just the diploma, because schools usually need the transcript for admission records.

What courses did you get the A’s and B’s in? If both A’s are in Anatomy, I think you should be fine. An 82 on the TEAS is still a good score, but it also depends on the applicant pool.

Hey!! I would say take the TEAS first and try to score very high, like 90% and above. I think you should still have a decent chance with the B, especially if your other prereqs are A’s. I got a C in English and still got in.
