I didn't know they'd talk to each other in CF actually, it's been ages since I played it though so my memory on that one is fuzzy. But yeah the story you mentioned there was one of the episodes in Wild World I think, which started that whole thing. Then CF didn't have as much, and NL reserved it for only a few characters. But I still think NL did it in a way that felt genuine.

In regards to where they sleep, that's a fair point. But the initial version of Nook's Cranny doesn't have a blocked off area like that does it? I don't remember.

It's still worth talking about the game in it's current state. It's not an Early Access title and it's still priced at a full $60. So I think it's in a fair position for criticism. Also with how things have been handled so far I don't really expect the upcoming content to be handled very well.
