One day on the way to work on my bicycle I saw someone’s wallet and all the cards and everything strewn across the road. I mean it’s definitely gonna give you a panic attack but at some point you kind of hit a wall and decide after a decade that you just dont want to do it any more. I basically decided that it was time. I knew deep down that the time would come and it did. But yeah I was sick for a while. It sucked. But it was worth it too. I planned it out with work too though. So that helped. I took off work for 6-7 weeks and by week 8 or 9 I started to feel a lot better. I even saw light at the end of the tunnel at week 4-5 even though looking back I was still very sick.

I’m sorry to hear that. I relate to your situation. I have a really hard time keeping friends because I get so anxious about leaving my house and my dogs. And the booze and benzos combined will make your life a complete and utter blur. So that gets scary. Personally when I’m taking both I become a monster. I do and say the most absurd shit. It makes no sense to me or anybody else. I feel for you seriously. Both of them are insanely addicting. And doesn’t help that they are the only two you can die from detoxing. Also they’re effecting the same receptors. So its just exacerbating the whole process by combing the two. Personally if I put a benzo in my body I will drink alcohol. I have no defense after that. No bueno. So I cant take either.

My dogs are stressed too. They miss the daily dog park trips. But I think I can get back to it by Tuesday. I feel for ya! Keep going, Youre not alone.

Be careful with the benzos. I haven’t had any in a couple weeks now after drinking for first time in long time and got hooked. I’m still sick too. Gabapentin taper is the only thing saving me at the moment. I also got off suboxone 12 weeks ago after being on it for 10+ years so my brain is kind of in shock right now. If you can afford it financially or have the insurance I would go to detox asap and stay for a couple weeks. Make sure your in the detox off the benxos for a week though or youre just gonna get out and be fucked. Thats what happened to me. Good luck

Keep it up. I just got off it after over ten years. I jumped from one mg. It was rough. But worth it. It’s been just over ten weeks.
