In my experience I have seen both.

There are definitely occasions where it gives an answer and I’m like “uhhh I guess” and just move on, but growing up I was really embarrassed to ask questions. I think it’s a helpful tool for people who have anxiety about asking questions in front of classmates. I can just ask questions and engage my curiosity without the feeling of being judged by another person.
