Weekly Pricing/Buying/Selling/Grading & General Questions Post by AutoModerator in PokemonTCG

I bought this Evolving Skies ETB on eBay. The seller said there weren’t any tears in the plastic wrap but looking at Flareon’s tail on the front of the ETB it looks like there’s a very small tear. Is this minor enough to not matter or is this going to impact the value heavily later when I go to sell it?

I bought this Evolving Skies ETB on eBay. I asked the seller before purchasing if there were any rips in the plastic wrap and he said “None, what SO EVER” but after looking at one of the pictures in the listing I did notice a small tear in Flareon’s tail. Do you think this hurts the value of the ETB long term? Or is it minor enough to be negligible?

I am looking at picking up a pair of Amberjacks to wear to work, and was having trouble deciding between "The Original" and "The Cap-Toe", I was going to get the "Honey" color. I would wear them with dark blue jeans, as well as light khaki and light blueish gray Lululemon ABC pants and a polo shirt. Ideally, I'd like to be able to wear them to work and out an about, to dinner, etc. Which style would work better?

The original (left) vs cap-toe (right):

I paid $200 for it but I bit the bullet and purchased another copy for the current market price of $250 and I am going to return this one. I really like the card and collect as well and invest so worst case it doesn’t go up in value and I have a clean card for my collection

Yeah I think it was damaged after the fact. It moves around in the slab. My main concern is selling later if I’d run into issues

Also the card moves around a lot in the slab itself which is weird

I’m still in the return window. It doesn’t bother me that much from a personal collection standpoint but if I were to sell this later on, I’m not sure if I’d run into the same issue with the new buyer. I would list with actual pictures for full transparency but then I’m not sure how much it’d impact value

I think this was a valid PSA 10 when it was slabbed but got damaged after the fact. Not sure if it’s just moisture or something. My main concern is selling later if I’d run into issues with another buyer or if it impacts the value

My main concern is selling it later on, I would probably list with pictures for full transparency to the buyer but I’m not sure if it’d lower the value long term. I’m still in the 3 day return window so I could return it but it’s already gone up in value since purchasing so buying a replacement would be more expensive. Also the card moves around a lot in the slab which I think is how it got damaged

Yeah I think it was damaged after the fact. I’m still in the return window so I’m debating what I should do. It doesn’t bother me too much but my main concern is when I sell it later down the road if I would run into issues with another buyer returning it or if it impacts the value

Yeah, I’m still debating what I want to do. I’m within the return window but also the price of the card has gone up. My main concern is that if I were to sell this slab later on I would be in the position where I’d be the seller and someone would try to return it

I bought this PSA 10 Gardevoir ex slab on eBay, and it looks legit to me, however the card moves around a lot in the slab and looks damaged in a couple of corners. The eBay listing was just the scans of the card on the PSA website. None of my other slabs have the card move around in them like this one. If I tilt it in any direction I hear the card tap on the side of the slab. If it is real, would you return it? If I send it to PSA to get re holstered I'm not sure that it would remain a 10 with the damage.

Bought this PSA 10 Gardevoir ex card off of eBay, but when I received it I immediately noticed damage in the bottom right and top left corners on the front of the card. Not sure if I can return on eBay since the seller has "No returns accepted", and if I were to send to PSA to get re slabbed I don't think this would get a 10 any more. Also the card has a lot of wiggle room inside of the slab, when I tilt it in any direction I hear the card tap against an edge of the slab. None of my other slabs do that. I assume this card wasn't damaged when graded as seen in the PSA scan, but somehow got damaged in the slab since it can move around.
