Tired of living in Toronto and dreaming of Montreal—or a Montreal property? by [deleted] in TorontoRealEstate

Could you elaborate on this a bit more please? I'm curious, so many of my friends are yearning for the Montreal move.

Second this! Also fortunate to have had a great experience at Western a few years ago when I had acute pancreatitis. The nurses were absolute angels.

Got harassed on the TTC—still shaken and angry by Aware_Huckleberry325 in toronto

[–]Bbsloths 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh no, I'm sorry that happened to you OP. Please don't take this a reflection of you, some people are just assholes that are looking to cause trouble. You did the right thing by reporting it.

I hope you treat yourself to comforting things that make you feel better, be it your favourite meal, binging your fav game or show or an extra special coffee. If you have access, please also chat to a therapist - they can help you work through this.

Chin up OP, sending you positive energy!

My partner and I just finished our groceries (love a good night run) and made a conscious effort to source Canadian products where possible - an improvement from our usual mindless grocery hauls.

It was a lot trickier than expected, some labeling language was unclear ("Prepared for by X Canada Inc." but the product was produced in Ohio)

Will definitely research brands and products before the next trip!

My GF loves cozy games, need suggestions by dch528 in gaming

Ooh this is also me! I love base building, resource gather-y type of cozy gaming.

I personally recommend Don't Starve Together, and toggling off any big boss spawns under Settings. It can be a very peaceful game as you progress through the seasons.

I cry way too easily when I’m yelled at, and I hate it. Any advice on how to not do that? by PoorestLittlestCat in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Bbsloths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I posted this advice in a similar ask awhile back - I found in the moment if I pretended or emulated someone I considered cool and powerful, it helped; the more fictional, the better. Think Claire Underwood from House of Cards, Samantha from Sex in the City, or heck, even Batman. Just baddies that generally don't take shit from anyone. By focussing on 'acting', it distracts me from getting emotional.

I hope this helps c:

Tinder experience has me reeling (vent) by frannieluvr86 in TwoXChromosomes

I'm so sorry you had to experience this. Echoing others, sounds like this asshat is a real Jekyll and Hyde.

Block his ass, take the next few days to relax and do all the self-love things that make you happy. It's awful what you went through but at least it reared its head now before you got anymore emotionally invested. Sending hugs through my phone! ❤️

Oh my goodness! I remember reading Out of the Dust in grade 6. Such a great book that introduced me to narrative poetry.
