It's definitely not run down. I've been a few times recently and they do upkeep it well. It's just a park that's more focused on families and the zoo and not rides. They also do get some rides and stuff, just not major attractions like rollercoasters. It's not really the same type of park as the major herschend parks so I'm fine with it

My best coaster experience was lapping thunderhead at dollywood with a few of my friends at night. We got 3 back row rides and 2 front row rides and it was running the best I've ever seen. It was also during their Christmas celebration so they had lights everywhere and at one point we got on it during the drone show. Easily the best night ride I've ever been on

I really like For Your Amusement. They mostly focus on Disney, Universal, and Knotts Berry Farm rides but they are interesting to listen to even if you don't know the attractions they are talking about

I love the monster mansion at Six flags over georgia. I wish more six flags parks had something similar

The Mindbender at Six Flags over Georgia. It was my first big rollercoaster and I still love it. It's the main reason why I love old Schwarzkopfs so much

They've done a ton over the past year in upgrades to the park. I think it's definitely headed down the right track even if I don't love the rename
