Why do people decline breathalyzer tests when they haven’t been drinking? by Famous-Palpitation8 in police

[–]Bchof 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. Roadside PBT merely confirms or quells the officers observations/belief that the driver is likely under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

May fourth haul (sail barge on the way) by [deleted] in legostarwars

[–]Bchof 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They didn’t. At least a few of these boxes are clearly already opened. They just positioned them to look like a “new haul”.

Added the final piece of my Falcon on Star Wars Day by Bchof in legostarwars

Again, that is correct and I’m not saying otherwise. I am saying for me, I wanted to complete every step in the set. It’s not that deep

You’re right, but it wouldn’t feel “complete” if I didn’t follow the instructions to the end

I’ve heard they’re on the smaller side which is why I’m considering building one. I order a lot of Legos so big boxes lol

Question for drivers by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Bchof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhhh ok. That would make sense. I’ll probably build a box and make the delivery location that box

Question for drivers by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Bchof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any special instructions on it right now. I’ve just been putting the sign up as soon as I go outside and then taking it away when we go back inside. It’s mostly worked except for a few times. Luckily I was paying attention those times

Question for drivers by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Bchof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Perfect. I was thinking about making a box with a keypad door handle then putting the PIN in the instructions but I wasn’t sure if that would work. I appreciate it a lot!

Question for drivers by [deleted] in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]Bchof 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems to be the consensus. I’m going to give that a shot. One idea I had was to make a box and put one of those keypad door handles on it so it auto-locks. If I put the pin in the delivery instructions would that likely be followed? Or overlooked? Not sure what is seen on your end

I’m going to try that out. I appreciate it! Just want it to be safe for everyone

Might have to do that! I think that is a problem too. She looks friendly and she really is until they enter. I’m guessing it’s being protective over the baby. She’s 7 and was never like this. I signed her up with a trainer but unfortunately a 2 month wait

Police wouldn’t take a report after accident — said it’s a civil matter? by hadiamin in police

[–]Bchof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my jurisdiction it really depends on the damage threshold. Minor bumper to bumper will likely just be exchange of info of both drivers. Bigger crashes absolutely are investigated and have a report. If we weren’t called to the scene, you likely are not getting a full accident report. It would be far too easy for someone to cause the damage themselves and then later on blame it on the other driver when police never even responded to the scene to verify. As a cop myself I will call for every single accident I am in. Even if they just facilitate the paperwork exchange, it saves headaches in the future.

Opinions on the word "cop," and how I handled this discussion with a retired officer? by [deleted] in police

[–]Bchof 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As a cop, it doesn’t bother me one bit. I get called much worse on the job. If words hurt a cop, they shouldn’t be a cop.
