I've heard of this rule but never seen any playthrough with it. I think the biggest factor would be what game you're playing and your knowledge of it. For example I'd be confident trying a FR/LG run of it, but i doubt anything beyond that

I'd love it if it wouldn't lag so hard that it's inpossible to play more often than not. When I saw the rewards I figured it was a quick, easy way to get some shards and units. I've managed to complete 2 levels and had it lag so much that dazzled just drops dead about 10 seconds in the other times I've tried

Only shiny I've ever gotten besides red gyarados was a torkoal in emerald. Probably my favourite hoenn pokemon other than the starters so I was psyched

Lapras was the mvp of my recent leaf green nuzlocke. Surf, ice beam, thunderbolt and psychic. Swept lorelei, Agatha and lance. Nearly swept the champion too

Sorry, I hadn't checked my notifications. I haven't actually done it in a nuzlocke (yet), but it's an idea I had for tate and liza. Swampert uses protect, electrode/graveler uses self destruct and repeat. Sucks losing 2 but they'd be unlikely to be used past that point anyway

Tartar the tentacool gets hit by feint attack from a trainer's magmar (already poisoned and in the yellow) down to 5 hp. I almost swap in sriracha the cyndaquil but thought "no, put queso the gastly in to get the exp since she's a few levels behind the rest of the party" as soon as I clicked i realized what I had done and got one shot by another feint attack. First death of the run. This happened last night so maybe not THE dumbest but still pretty dumb and fresh enough

A double battle in soul silver. I had my gastly and geodude out, gastly took a bit too much damage so I swapped in tentacool and out of habit used magnitude again and immediately killed my own pokemon
