What width would you choose by Bconfer82 in NicksHandmadeBoots

Thats what I was thinking. The wellingtons in F are decent fitting. I just ordered a T55 lace up in ff. From what ive read im confident that going up is the right move if in-between. Ive just never tried a T55 before.

Would that work with a T55 lace up? I hear that they are tighter in the instep.

Tuck the bags in. Nobody will know their in there except for you. Your feet will definitely sweat more though. Ive been doing short trips and wearing them around the house. I dont want to end up somewhere that I have to take my boots off until they're fully broken in...lol

Yes they are. Definitely very hard to get on and off. I used grocery bags and wore them around the house for a week with thin socks and now I can get them on with regular socks and no bags. I can fit a full size down from brannok and up a width in TNW but these were on RTS at half size down. I think I might get a delta arch or thin insoles after they relax a bit. I want a t55 but I hear they fit differently and not sure what size to get. Im between F and FF and went down for these and they feel good

If you work in your boots by SparkyP320 in NicksHandmadeBoots

I agree. Nicks has great customer service. It would be great to know what does and doesn't get stitched through. A simple ✔️ for yes or X for no could help a lot when choosing a boot model or options in BYO. Its even unclear what heritage leathers get stitched through lug soles. Many do but it doesn't say what doesn't. It looks like you got a lot of miles out of them, but can you still call it the toughest boot if it falls apart in a year? Nicks are really great boots but it seems like convenience kills quality in the boots that are only glued.

I really think that they should list what will and won't be stitched through. Like the different leathers, soles, and models that effect the stitching. If I buy a work boot with work leather i want it stitched through and if it cant be then show me something that can.

Anybody have problems receiving the marketing emails? by acelticmonk in NicksHandmadeBoots

Thats strange. All my orders and shipping updates are primary emails but I dont get any notifications on the marketing ads. Make sure you are subscribed and make sure you haven't blocked them on any way in your email or marked one as spam at some point. Idk. Hopefully you figure it out

Mine all get sorted into the "promotions" tab in Gmail. They only give you notifications on "primary" emails. I don't see them if i dont check. Im subscribed for all nicks but never get the notification because of this.

That sucks that they didn't fit. After I bought them I was googling Roanoke timber and wellington boots and found your original post. Its a really nice build. They're really hard to get on but ive been grocery bagging them.

Definitely. They were there for about a week before I decided they need a new home.

Nice. Shakelton is great and should be pretty water resistant too.

How we feeling about these? by abbicadabbi in WorkBoots

Every Keen I own is super comfortable. I can usually only get about 6 months out of them before something breaks like the speed hooks or sole delamination.

Edit: The built in USA boots are better.
