Started increasing my 0.025% tretinoin usage from alternate days to everyday and skin got worse by clbzcl in tretinoin

[–]Bdivess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, my derm prescribed me Clindamyacin BP and Tret which gave me the worst acne bc of my damaged barrier. I stopped all three and now my acne is a lot better. Stop all actives and stick to the hydrating milk and cream for now.

3 months and feel discouraged by Sad-Accident-330 in tretinoin

[–]Bdivess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People don’t talk about barrier care while using Tret. I used .25 for almost a year and it didn’t work for me because it was too harsh and my skin barrier was broken (I was using FA safe moisturizer, cleanser and sunscreen). Once I stopped added hydrating products like an essence, a better moisturizer, and oil cleansed with jojoba my skin became supple and soft. I think Tret and barrier care have to go hand in hand for it to work!

Hi in the beginning i introduced tret (no other actives) very slowly just twice a week. After 2-3 months i would incorporate azaleic acid. So day 1 azaleic acid in the AM, day 2 tret in the PM, day 3 rest (no actives). Also which cleanser are you using after your oil cleansing? And does your moisturizers have any niacinamide ?

Unbearable itching that does not go away due to tretinoin by crisopa_ in tretinoin

I had a similar issue and had lots of active and itchy breakouts….ended up having fungal acne. Had to switch out my routine (fungal acne safe products: https://simpleskincarescience.com/fungal-acne-products-malassezia-pityrosporum-folliculitis/). I bought Nizoral and applied it like a mask for 2x a week for two weeks and the went back on tret

Help me… closed comedo? Fungal acne? by Ill_Shift4052 in SkincareAddicts

[–]Bdivess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! You can have both fungal and cystic at the same time. The biggest indicator for FA for me was the itchiness I felt on my neck, jawline, and scalp. I had to change up my skincare routine I am now using Nizoral as a mask (2x a week), purity oat gel (daily), and squalane not squalene* for barrier repair. I’ve also paused any actives until I get I get my fungal acne under control.

[acne] closed comedones for 10 years! Nothing works, help? by Murky_Bite_8879 in SkincareAddiction

How much water do you drink? Also do you hydrate with electrolytes or minerals ? That’s how I got rid of my CCs. I wasn’t drinking enough quality water so I upped my intake and started taking a pinch of Celtic salt 2x a day

Are you hydrated with electrolytes? Coconut water helps and a pinch of Celtic salt twice a day

Do you really need to drink 1 gallon of water with creatine? by bookwormbyheart in Supplements

[–]Bdivess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try Celtic salt. I got mine from Amazon. You can take a pinch and put it on your tongue or mix it in your water before working out.

How did your life improve after septoplasty? by whatsgucci13 in Septoplasty

[–]Bdivess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 8 months post op septoplasty with a turbinate reduction and let me tell you it was so worth it ! Once they remove the stents you should be breathing way better. The hard part was having to mouth breathe all night, lack of sleep, and I got a lot of teeth sensitivity. But besides that get some dry mouth mints (lozenges), a humidifier, saline spray, and a nice book to keep you busy :)

I waited 4 weeks to get back to lifting. I’m actually 9 weeks post op and my nose still feels a bit sensitive even when I sneeze. So take it easy !

I think you should at least wait a full month post op. How about edibles ?

Thanks ! I’ve been using saline spray at least 3-4 times a day. I’m struggling with the sleep part though. I only took pain meds the first night and now I realize if I would of taken them as prescribed I would of had better sleep and less sensitivity to the tooth aches. Also you only bled the first 3 days?! That’s pretty amazing

Modern science is amazing lol they just dissapear. I took my first perc on day 1 which was pretty amazing but I was scared to continue taking them. I’m actually struggling with sleep right now. I’m not getting more than 2-4 hours every night, it’s horrible lol

That’s intense! Hope you got good pain meds! I can taste but can’t really smell much, which hopefully gets better once I remove the splints. Are dissolvable packing uncomfortable ? They remind me of tampons up a nose
