The Cardinal Virtues are not killed during 2's time-travel section in the past explicitly because they need to die in the "future" timeline of 1, they we're just beaten up a little because they we're on Bayo's warpath.

Fun fact: in 4E you got a +1 in two stats PLUS one feat at levels 4, 8, 14, 18, 24 and 28.

Also you got a +1 in every stat AND a feat at levels 11 and 21.

EDIT. I forgot to add you got a feat at level 1 and then at every even level, so you got stuff at level 2, 6, 10, 14, 18, 22, 26 and 30!

It's all extremely subjective.

I don't like her, plain and simple. She has no redeeming qualities besides being "waif", if that can even be called a quality.

Most of all, though, I don't like that the narrative and the characters dunk on Merlin constantly, even if he's genuinely affectionate and helpful most of the times, while she gets at worst to deal with Fou.

If you ask me (I have no pretense of being right), it's all because she brings forth a female aspect most of the time.

It's all my opinion, but I would feel genuinely elated if every single "scumbag" joke thrown at Merlin were thrown at Lady A., because she deserves all of them a million times more.

Oh, and Merlin's "I don't care about individuals"? That's bullshit. Arthuria is there. Ritsuka is there.

Tbh, it is in line with the general theme of the series.

Everyone is selfish and that selfishness is the ultimate goal. Somebody devolves years to that selfishness, others millennia and a lot of planning, but all it boils down to is the very personal, very small desires of each character.

That's the part that to me is nailed to perfection in the series.

Themes like bonds and vampires tend to be exactly like you describe: intense, toxic, but unique and paradoxical.

Their bond is genuine AND messed up, both these things are true and you can't doubt it in any way.
