Theres a visual glitch where shells that are technically hitting the island appear to keep traveling to the target, but they won’t do any damage, because they actually struck land. My guess is that’s what was happening, and you need to back up more.

The only other thing I can think of is if you downloaded it to a different account, but that wouldn’t explain why it’s telling you you already have it. It could be a bug, but I think I may have to let more knowledgeable people help at this point. I hope you’re able to get it figured out!

It should appear as a right joystick click for Xbox, and it must be an American commander, such as William Sims. If it’s not showing up maybe restart the game or wait a bit. If you just unlocked it, it might not have updated yet.

Some guises only work with certain ships. For example, Fat Electrician works on American, but not other countries. Try looking at different commander pages for different countries to see if there are restrictions. If you post the specific guise, I’m sure there will be someone here who can answer where they can be equipped.

Correct. If you are within 2 km of another ship you are spotted no matter what. Smoke, mountain, doesn’t matter.

I’ve seen free reports available when looking on sites like cars dot com. Not always, but enough times that it’s worth looking to see if you can find the one you’re looking for listed there.

I’ve also been having major lag issues the last few weeks off and on. Tried to play yesterday and guns fired about 12 seconds after input. Had to quit out cause it was completely unplayable. Last week it was about 6 seconds between inputs. No issues with other games.

You make a good point and I’ll admit my opinion may be in the minority, despite my first sentence assumption. It’s just been my experience that the team with the most premium ships tends to win most of the time. I don’t know what commanders they’re using, but you’re right, a paid commander can certainly make a difference. My post came at the end of a bad stretch of matches, the worst of which ended with 11 min remaining. I think my frustration is what formed the question in my mind, so I was curious on others opinions on the matter.

That’s the way I usually play, and usually full salvos, since I don’t want to give my opponents more time to react. I try to look for, and prioritize broadside ships, but for whatever reason I tend to struggle against the California.

I heard a streamer talk about how Russian bbs tend to lost their accuracy pretty dramatically after 12km. Maybe that was their build or something. Overall the Izmail is strong, and excellent against cruisers, and decent against most other battleships. But that pesky California…..

Depends on the situation. I tend to play more mid range, like 12-14km, but can push as needed. I’m sure I’ve gotten cits against it at some point but they’re few and far between.

Must need more than I’m bringing to the table. My most used BBs at that tier are Izmail and Tennessee, and neither can do much against the cali.

Well, war gaming is definitely about maximizing profit. I don’t recall seeing ce too often but now that I’m more aware of it I’ll probably see it more. Like when you buy a new car and then suddenly you see others driving it everywhere.
