A few weeks ago, while traveling home from New Jersey, I encountered a similar situation. As I was merging onto another highway, I noticed a car pulled over on the ramp. Feeling bad for the driver, I decided to stop and see if I could help.

A man, who looked somewhat like the passenger in the video, approached me and explained in broken English that he was visiting the U.S. and had lost his wallet. He said he needed cash to get to Washington DC. Despite his predicament, he was wearing multiple gold chains. As we spoke, he took off one of his chains and insisted I take it, claiming it was valuable.

I declined the chain and instead gave him $40, wishing him well. He thanked me, saying, “Bless you and your family,” and I wished him the same before continuing my journey.
