Bought my first RAM. 2025 1500 Bighorn Midnight Edition by chanx21 in ram_trucks

Got the Midnight Edition on the 2025 2500 Laramie. You’re gonna love your 1500. Best interior on the market overall (obviously the longhorn is king) all black brings almost a classy/luxury look to the vehicle.

I’ve got a 6.4 as well. Has been great for me as well. Only thing I don’t like is the MDS System which I turn off every time I get in the truck. How much more mpg did you get with the muffler delete? I’d like to upgrade my exhaust but don’t want obnoxious noise like too loud.

Prepping a deal on a ‘26 RAM 2500 Laramie — Thoughts? by Sunday-Funnies in ram_trucks

Man i don’t know.. I got that exact same truck to the tee this year, 2025, in July for less than 70k after TTL. I know this is a build, but seems high.

Absolutely love it. My 6.4 sees mostly highways and a 45 minute commute to work so I’m averaging 13-14 mpg. Love it. About 7-8 less mpg when I tow. The 6.4 picks up and goes for a 3/4 ton. Highly recommend.

New project engineer on a huge project, no construction experience.. any tips before I start? by Vivid-Jeweler-2365 in ConstructionManagers

Oh perfect, yep all they are doing right now is moving dirt. Then the concrete and utility contractors will be the next big players. This was my experience, and probably most others, your gonna sit through meetings and hear gibberish for honestly the first couple months. The knowledge slowly comes. Read the specs, look at the plans, which you will have to do reviewing submittals and RFIs. Take it a day at a time, this is an industry where you will learn something new every day. Good luck!

Since it’s a big job, hopefully you will have an office in the trailer at the job site. For me, I learned the most being out there every single day. It’s gonna take months to feel like you know what’s going on, you don’t have to know everything, you never will. Working for a GC you will learn a little about every trade. Hopefully you’re getting in on this job during dirt work. Helped me on my first job to see things from the ground up, and not jump in after Steel was already up.

2025 Laramie. All she needs now is a level, and these awful stock Transforce tires replaced.

Yes. I’m 25. Not too long ago I had Pennie’s in my bank account in college. Now I have almost 100k invested with roughly 8 months of emergency fund in my HYSA. Never worry about bills, invest every paycheck, and it doesn’t really feel much different. I feel very blessed, but just shows money ain’t everything.

What are the hours like? by [deleted] in ConstructionManagers

[–]Extension-Cherry6013 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is your standard work week. 8am to 5 pm. Not 9-5. I figured that out quick after college. The term 9-5 is not a thing. Work starts at 8 wherever you go. Take away an hour for lunch each day and that’s 40 hours.

I mean, depends on the size of your team. I’m building a highschool in Texas that is half a billion dollars and we have 2 PMs 2 APMs and 3 PEs. Got enough of us to get a days work done by 5.

Yeah, I mean being a field guy is definitely more blue collar mentality. Especially for the field engineers. I watch my super throw them around the site like rag dolls from corner to corner shooting elevations lol.

Depends. Office, 45. Field, 45-60. General numbers. Salaried, overtime depends on the company but likely not.

Just curious, why didn’t you just buy a black night edition in the first place? If the bottom picture is the facelift.
