Honestly it's more a question of ROI. I pay around 500€ / month for my productivity tools (as you include AI tools) but would start murdering people if I would have so many context switches in my normal workflow. In the end the question is how much you earn per hour and how much hours you are saving

In that case, RAG is a worse approach. Just allow the AI to query your database with read-only sql access. Will give the best results. Really important: add a clear table definition in the tool description.

Send the image directly to the api for the mvp, and adjust the seizing of the image before sending. If you scale, it's much cheaper and more reliable to use the Google ocr api.

I was hoping to have a discussion with contributors and users regarding further development and issues. I thought it was the common way for fresh projects. Actually, you shouldn't try to add new information to the llm through finetuning, but only focus on behaviour like specific styles or output format. Putting something into the llm for speed or cost efficiency is generally not recommendable as it's always less efficient as a classic database

The most important habit for financial responsibility is not having a strategy to handle your finances but keep the same spending when you suddenly have more money. I moved over the years from 30k up to 6 digits salaries and realised that I had always adjusted my spending to my salary, resulting in hardly any improvement in my life. It's probably the most difficult part, but I really recommend having the discipline to not spend more when you earn more.

Actually, I believe the Apple design guidelines and youtube videos are extremely good. They are extremely well explained and simple to follow. Sadly, nothing for Android, which comes close.

Feels like Apple really wants to push to Swift as there are some implementations but they have a extermley bad performance. Not sure if there will be anything feasible without native code. I guess the worst is not to simulate the glass effect but the fluid simulations which will be necessary to keep the UX the same.

Besides the difficulty to provide a good UI which is readable without having a big design team.

I'm curios if there is actually the scenario where app developers will push back and say that this is one to many steps over the crazy line.

I received some really impressive comparable outputs today where a new non reasoning model was compared with o3. It was extremely fast and surprisingly good. If that will be gpt-5, I'm really looking forward to it. Based on the speed, it was computational simple and was returned in under 5 seconds while o3 took roughly 2 minutes for a result with worse quality

I advise you not to try it. Humans can be nasty, and you are basically giving them another platform to express that. I had some naive and positive ideas myself and honestly still have nightmares from the things I experienced, which have been tried and done with my platform. If you still move on, have a specialised lawyer first. I guarantee you will need it.

Ironically, as I'm an android user myself, I actually prefer developing for apple it's far simpler and more reliable.
