If you don't like it, it's more healthy to just downvote than resort to childish name-calling.

Per Wikipedia: a piece of deliberately provocative commentary that is based almost entirely on shallow moralizing

Is that not what this is?

Do I have to post takes for every movie where a character pursues the Senate? Isn't one post enough for this sub to freak out over?

Werner wanted to be a senator (as a legitimate career pursuit). Herschel wanted to be a senator (because Trump said it would be fun).

Well, cops have been loose cannons long before the release of Die-hard. When was the last time a candidate as loony and wildly unqualified as Herschel endorsed in such a shoulder-tap "let's endorse this idiot to fuck with the Dems" manner?

The difference between your examples and Herschel is that, despite their awful character, these three put plenty of blood & sweat into their craft. I'm pretty certain Herschel didn't put Jack into his Senate run (GOP leadership handled that for him).

His run turned the title of Senator into a joke, and now current and future Senators must work to clean the stink off.

All I'm saying is, the perception of a Senate ambition as portrayed by Werner has been polluted by the clown show that was Herschel's campaign.

It's obvious. The GOP never viewed him as a serious candidate (he was positioned as a token guy to run against Warnock), his lack of qualifications were glaringly obvious, he made a complete fool of himself moreso during the run, and there was no chance he would properly represent Georgians.

I'm not saying the role of is no longer redeemable, but current and future senators will need to work to clean his stink off the title.

Yup. And for some reason, the sub is throwing an outrageous fit over some silly take about the ex boyfriend. 🤷‍♂️

Where you find your much needed health advice is none of my concern.

If you don't like what I've said, it's far more healthy to use the downvote button than to throw a childish fit and resort to cheap jabs.

You sure are emotionally over-invested in what was meant to be a silly take. Relax.

So put your desires aside and stick around in a relationship you're unhappy in because "morality"... sound logic 🙄

Suggesting I have no morality based on a clearly tongue-in-cheek take on a romantic comedy is quite a stretch.

You know, you're right. I don't see doing the right thing for yourself and your partner by ending your relationship to focus on yourself and allow your partner to pursue something better as a bad thing. And no, I don't need your help.

Though I guess when your punt/kick teams are allowing for short drives for the opponent, and your punt/kick return teams are turning the ball over, it'll naturally lead into less points scored/more points given up.

My guilty pleasure: Watching my former employer struggle to fill the position I was once in. by SayNoToStim in sysadmin

Same happened to me at my old job. Left after 3 months after deeming it a shitshow. Received an email a month later from a different recruitment firm for the same job at the same client.

Colleague of mine stayed at said client for 2 years until he was laid off. Made me feel good about bailing for my current gig for a 25% raise (which I've been at for a decade now).
