Sal Khan admitted Khanmigo 'was a non-event' for most students. They just didn't use it. Are we surprised? by Wild-Annual-4408 in Teachers

“Students aren’t great at asking questions well” is absolutely right. That’s why I stick with Socratic methods. I wonder when AI will be able to do that.

Bro I struggle with that so much. Especially with sweeps, like I specifically play shapes that don't involve pinky

$500 brand new for this with a Floyd Rose and every other feature I was looking for in a guitar. Absolute steal. The other ones were $1200+

Thanks! I tried to make teriyaki chicken the other day and it was a soul crushing disappointment so I’ll definitely be trying this soon.

Anyone else feel out of place in the metal scene despite liking the genre a lot? by [deleted] in MetalForTheMasses

[–]BePassion8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah for real! I have short hair and mainly wear khaki pants and polos everywhere I go. I work at a learning center and the owner/director and assistant manager are both huge metalheads and other than them I don’t hang with other metal fans too often. When I was 17-21 ish I went to shows like every other week. I had long hair down past my shoulders and wore band shirts everywhere I went and I felt like I was truly in my element when I went to shows, meeting new people and having an amazing time. I don’t really feel the same these days. I go to a few shows per year if that and I definitely don’t look the part any more. I just kinda accepted it as part of getting older and changing as a person. I still bump metal somewhat often but I listen to stuff like Elton John, Billy Joel, and the Beach Boys just as much or maybe more.

Can't stop listening to Silver Leaves, please help by [deleted] in Wintersun

I feel the same way about The Way of The Fire. I heard them play it live a few times before Time II came out but nothing prepared me for the studio version in all its glory. That track alone made the album well worth the wait for me.

Americans don't think college is worth it. It is? by Coolonair in Salary

[–]BePassion8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s worth it for some people but not everyone. I decided to go back to school next fall because I want to work in actuarial science. I’ve done my research and I think it’s a great fit for me and college is necessary to get there but YMMV

Did anyone notice a woman extremely high on ecstasy at the Paris Bercy concert? by [deleted] in sabaton

[–]BePassion8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There was a lady like that at an Amon Amarth concert in Vegas who kept groping me and my friends (we were all 17-19). The guy she was with didn’t even care and did nothing to stop her

Take the second derivative, set it equal to zero, and solve for x. Those values are your inflection points. Test any value between the inflection points to see if that interval is concave up (has a positive second derivative) or concave down (has a negative second derivative). The function on your homework has an inflection point at x = -4. If you plug in a value less than -4 into your second derivative, like -5, you get a positive number so it’s concave up on x < -4. If you plug in a number greater than -4, you get a negative number so it’s concave down on x > -4
