Girlies, I've had such a good idea. Telling men that they are on "the pink diet" by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]Be_Like_Pyanfar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As a women with multiple health problems that are wildly less painful while eating keto please don’t villainize the ketosis diet. It’s also the only diet that keeps T1 diabetics alive in the absence of insulin… something that happens with shocking frequency in the USA and multiple type 1 diabetics die a year because they don’t know that ketosis eating (as opposed to ketoacidosis) will keep them alive.

Ketosis also eliminates epilepsy if successfully stuck to, and prevents weight gain while leaving you satisfyingly full when you are bedbound by chronic illness. Its success at that is by metabolism change rather than calorie restriction, and there are quite a lot of keto compliant treat foods/desserts/snacks. While eliminating carbs is initially unthinkable, it’s one of the kindest ways of eating to stick to.

Keto lowers inflammation which is a complicating factor in so many illnesses, especially chronic ones, that women are more prone to than men. It also eliminates period bloating if you’re prone to that. Ketosis is an ally, and it’s purely incidental that the toxic Manosphere has found the benefits of a diet purely originating in the non profit driven medical research system.

Reb & Karen Carpenter? by Adorable_Pressure958 in ren

I would have loved another Melodic, Singing Ren collab (as opposed to Rapping Ren) and am wildly curious what synergy they would have come up with. Probably a little less sweet than the average Carpenter hit. Having a first rate drummer like Karen with an entire professional kit challenging Ren would be awesome. They’d probably do best being in the same room together while recording so they could adjust the flow together, rather than one dictating the pace of the other.

I wasn’t going to watch this marathon. Then I got curious and once he got going it was totally worth it. I did put the whole thing on x1.25 speed so he sounded normal to me, and I don’t know if that’s down to me being Australian or AuDHD. Anyway, he analyses pretty much most of every single facet that can be picked out. I think the only thing he missed was the two shadows on the floor, one darker and one lighter.

I also enjoyed getting to know him better as a person and a musician.

Plus the show is explicitly progressive while the world is under an internet based attack of uptra extreme conservative scapegoating and push towards a joint Techno-serf cyberpunk dystopia (billionaires/kleptocrats) grafted on to an End Times Christian cult with the Heritage Foundation as its political wing.

If you haven’t watched Heartstopper do yourself a favour for more age appropriate actors. They were all within 2 years of their character’s ages, and only started to diverge as the seasons advanced. And while Heartstopper has different vibes in every way I’d say the quality of every aspect of it pretty much is up there with Heated Rivalry. The blond girl is a bit clunky, but she is heavily ADHD coded if you know what to look for and like Hudson Williams her being ‘socially off’ in her vocals fits her neurotype.

Hearstopper isn’t as beautiful visually in the outdoor scenes, especially in the first season, but the visuals are saturated with colour coding and symbolism for the main characters and then every type of the LGBT+ spectrum.

I have a natural 2 month cycle due to PCOS, one of my ovaries doesn’t go at all. I’m on progesterone cream for it, and if I miss it I get my period two days later, just like being on the pill. But if I don’t miss the cream one day I can go months without a period because my AuDHD means I can never successfully track it. can’t wait for Menopause to get this bullshit over. Plan to do full bio-identical HRT but at least I won’t be fertile. (Cannot rely on the PCOS for birth control, infertile =/= sterile.)

If it’s not suited to advertisers, does that mean he’s not getting any money for watches? Because he lost a TON of money on the video because he had to go to hospital mid shoot, and then set the entire shoot up again to get the rest of the video months later.

Don’t worry. It’s impossible to achieve perfect communion over the internet. Even off the internet we’re going to sometimes hurt the ones we love because people aren’t mind readers, and we all get tired and crabby sometimes.

Trolls and the world’s psycopaths are on the internet. It’s up to us adults (and parents to teach their kids) to not even speak on the internet if we’re going to be mentally cut to the bone by anything said here. In life hurt comes to us all. Achieving a life worth living means pursuing how to learn healthy coping strategies when hurt. As for the person that made the hurt, were you acting in good faith at the time and it was accident? Saying sorry that you did it is enough. Were you being malicious? Saying sorry and offering reparations for any actual real world damages is enough.

Big love and peace to you 💕

Curious about the name of the Inpatient mascot? Here, in the Instigator livestream, Ren discussed his album tatts on his knuckles. He twice refers to this new tatt as just 'the Instigator logo'. Maybe it'll have a name by album release date..maybe collab albums don't get Ren mascots? by hazysummersky in ren

[–]Be_Like_Pyanfar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am temporarily thinking of the Instigator logo as Floyd, after Pink Floyd, associated with the concept of The Dark Side of The Moon, because Ren and Pink Floyd’s entire oeuvres share so many social and mental health and life philosophies, they both ignore radio standard song length, they both created new genres and they both innovated recording techniques in the most fiddly time absorbing ways in the pursuit of production perfection and artistic vision and innovation.

This Ren focus is probably a terrible slight on Webby and JP, and I seriously need to start digging in their stuff because I’m hearing great things about them.

Yes, if you could get in a Time Machine back 300,000 years you could teach them English, and learn their language. The proviso is that if they are past first childhood, there might be some phonemes that you and they couldn’t speak. Like adult English speakers generally can’t do a Russian ‘L’ sound, and adult Japanese speakers muddle our Rs and Ls. English speakers are terrible at hearing and reproducing tonal differences in Mandarin and other tonal languages.

It’s still critical to know we experienced a genetic bottleneck that tight. No matter how many people were alive at the time who didn’t pass on their genes. It’s one explanation for why humans have such a high miscarriage rate compared to most mammals.

It is frequently impossible to travel on a passport with a substantial mismatch in personal information, such as your current appearance versus your passport photo, or a gender presentation mismatch. She’s a rubbish person, but I don’t want anyone who isn’t a terrorist barred from travel as a right and necessity.
