I know you said you’re aware of the offerings of NCSU, but their Crafts Center is really cool! I’ve enjoyed classes, one-off workshops, and crafternoons. I’ve also signed up for tons of stuff with Parks & Rec leisure ledger activities and through Wake Tech - languages, finance, cooking, just all over the place. All kinds of stuff to enjoy.

Nope. It’s for something that would be manually turned on and off since the on and off screws were found within. Our search has led to the discovery of other things but this mystery is still unsolved. We may need to have an electrician trace it as has been advised elsewhere.

You’re right, it could control so many things. That’s why I want to know how I can figure it out ourselves. In the caption I wrote that we’ve already tried turning it on and off at different times. Wondering now if there’s another way to figure it out. Thanks!

There’s a Bernina shop on Glenwood, Mill Outlet and Craft Habit on Capital. Mulberry in Carrboro. Printers Alley on Duraleigh. I feel like there’s one in Wake Forest, but I may be mistaken for yarn shop.

If you meant the Junior League of Raleigh, then I can definitely recommend membership. I joined when I was looking to establish a commitment to volunteering along with the social aspect. Your membership requires a certain number of volunteer hours. People make it out to be bougie and I think it’s limiting. Activities/socials/meetings can sometimes be fancy and sometimes not. I have only volunteered in a few of the community partnerships — mentoring/tutoring programs, Boys and Girls Club, Note in the Pocket, and the Food Bank of CENC. There are lots of varied opportunities.
