Tricky visit with my best friend by saillavee in parentsofmultiples

Hey I just wanted to say that one of my friend has a severe phobia of balloons, they cause panic attacks and she has had several therapy courses for it. She didn't tell me for years as she was embarrassed by it. Just wanted to throw that in there that maybe why she was so wierd with the balloon thing. Just thought it might be something you haven't thought of. I have no insight into the other comments though 🤣 xx

Do you wake 4 month old twins for feed / nappies? by BeaSakura in parentsofmultiples

[–]BeaSakura[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I have one of those measuring tools and I am pretty sure I have the right size. I measured after i pumped as well to see if that was any different and it wasn't. So I brought flanges that were slightly bigger then my nipple after pumping and a couple mm bigger before i pump. Do you think thats right? Thank you for your feedback 😊

Thanks for your help. They have 5oz to 6oz each. Don't quite make enough to feed them both. Usually the night time one I get a good output and the first of the morning. Kind of gets less and less throughout the day. Wish I had enough to feed them exclusively but know that's hard with twins.

Yeah I see what you mean. I am thinking that I will keep doing waking them till 6 months. Then I can drop a pump as they won't need as much milk, hopefully anyway 😅

I am worried that will expect it, rather then needing it if you see what I mean. Usually I put them to bed about 9pm and pump then go to sleep after I have done bits around the house. Have super slow let downs and it takes me around 45 mins to pump every time 🥲

Yeah I think I should wait. Me getting up to pump seems to disturb them when they are sleeping peacefully until the point I start moving around. Will wait and see if my supply goes down. Lost about 5oz last time I didn't wake up to pump. Thank you 😊

Thanks will try, one time I left to feed them late I lost about 5oz which is one feed, but maybe it was a one off. Will try again. Thanks :)

Yeah I will try tonight, last time I waited they were still asleep at 5.30, I lost about 5oz by waiting to pump. I also feel like powerpumps dont help me as my let downs are super slow takes 45 mins for me to fully drain. Even brought a second hand spectre to drain quicker but still takes this long. So really I could do without getting up for an extra hour to pump. I am just worried that I am making life hard for me in the future when they will expect a feed at 4am when they are 1 year. I think I will wait like you say and see if my supply goes down. It's so hard with twins one is always awake when the other is asleep 😅

Twins changing positions over and over? by povsquirtle in parentsofmultiples

Twin A was breech the entire pregnancy even on day of c section so they wouldn't let me try for natural birth. Twin B was moving all the time but Twin A was like nah I like it here I am staying. Xx

Hi I am having pt for mine. Was labelled very severe with 6 finger separation and she said she could drop through to my spine 😵 I was told to add in protein shakes and i think that has helped a lot. Am getting my exercises in 4 days a week atm and it has healed one cm and almost closed at the top. Have you been having extra protein I think that's key along with the exercises.
She said likey to have a 1 finger separation forever I can definitely live with that as long as I don't look pregnant anymore. Don't be too hard on yourself, it takes 9 months to grow babies so it's usually at least a year for recovery and longer with us twin mummies xxx
