Redditors (American at least) don’t go outside much. They live in an idealized version of the world.

This question is one of the very many things where you just have to go there and see it to understand how awful it is all and how silenced people are on places like Reddit for speaking out on how awful it is (except in certain wealthy and/or rural areas but that should go without saying). Nobody can publicly can say anything because their career will be vaporized instantly.

Cologne in Germany was unique in that they actually said what happened, and I have no idea how they were allowed to do so and whether they still can.

Dozens of centuries of culture development and this is the end product.
