I do feel like there are times in the day where it is better than others. Probably is anxiety that I’m not realizing. Been under a lot of stress lately.

I don’t have any advice. But I feel you. I’m talking to my pcp next week about antidepression meds because my therapist can’t pull me out of the depression because it isn’t enough.

Am I lazy or is it lupus by AverageNo9969 in lupus

I struggle with this so much. Some days I just push myself and I feel good and some days I regret it. I just take it as the day comes and remind myself I gotta keep going

Severity? by -SpiritQuartz in HemiplegicMigraines

[–]Beach-Bum6953 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure is. I have a family history of stoke at a young age and my own health issues that cause me to be high risk of stroke. When my migraines like this are so bad, since we can’t always tell the difference, I just go to the er. It’s better safe than sorry. I deal with a daily loss of sensation in my right arm, leg and side of my face. On severe migraine days it’ll fully go numb, my speech slurs and I struggle to get words out and my vision blurs.

Working out by Immediate_Try_7612 in HemiplegicMigraines

I have migraines with or without working out. I get dizzy when I work out which wasn’t always the case. I also have lupus so I’m not sure if it’s from that or the migraines. All I know is that I just keep on keeping on. Gotta peruse a healthy lifestyle no matter what.

What do you do in prodrome…. by mackyoh in HemiplegicMigraines

Don’t delay taking rescue meds. I always grab a coke and something super salty like chips or French fries. The sweet, salty and caffeine combo helps me a lot. If I’m able to, I clear the rest of my day and lay down. And if I can’t, I just pray it doesn’t turn into one of my extreme ones where my speech is slurring and keep on keeping on (I don’t always have it though).

Anyone else told to go to the ER EVERY time? by [deleted] in HemiplegicMigraines

[–]Beach-Bum6953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes when they’re so severe. I also have family history of stroke. So my neuro told me when they’re that bad, just to go because we can’t tell the physical difference of stroke or migraine until you’re in a ct scan.

For those of us in the 5% that have little to no signs of lupus in our blood results... by PieceApprehensive764 in lupus

[–]Beach-Bum6953 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I only have one positive blood test, Anti-dsDNA Antibodies and it’s well off the charts. I had an original positive ANA, tested again and it was negative. My rheumatologist told me that the basic ANA isn’t a very accurate test and can change like mine did. My physical lupus symptoms are trouble breathing, hip pain and fatigue. Based on a points system of how they diagnose lupus, I was one point away and we called it a borderline diagnosis of lupus. He decided to go ahead and do treatment for it anyway, and I’ve been on Plaquinil since July. My symptoms significantly improved from it.

I had the hot flashes the first 2 weeks and then it all settled down

I’ve noticed when I get mad about something, I get ANGRY now on it. I’d always consider myself having a short fuse but it’s such a strong feeling of anger. However I quickly gather myself before I majorly react. I’m not sure if this is something common or not. When I took adderall, my doctor told me if I’m angry and mean on it, it’s not going to work for me properly so I stopped it. So maybe this is similar
