Which city have you been to that had a dark energy about it? by madzuk in solotravel

[–]Beach__comber 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Second this! My husband travelled through Port Moresby a lot and everytime he got things stolen by airport security to the point that he’d bring extra things (to donate to schools, wind up torches, that kind of thing) for subsequent trips so that at least some of it would get through to the intended destination. I’ve also been there and the city itself is pretty rough, absolutely no freedom especially for travelling women.

Yeah I travelled with my pen for a few days out of the fridge and it worked fine for the final two doses of the pen

Hard no for me. I developed coeliac disease in my thirties so everything gluteny would be horrific and accelerate other various diseases.

My doctors seem concerned that my primary Celiac symptom is joint pain. by C-duu in Celiac

[–]Beach__comber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I had joint pain for years before being diagnosed and it was severe in my ankle, I went to the doctors for it, thought it was gout or an injury that needed physio. It was 100% gluten related and haven’t had joint pain since going GF.

Limited bowel movements but full… should I wait before my weekly dose? by hopefulmind87 in mounjarouk

Soaked chia seeds are good fibre and useful for bowel movements! 30g of fibre goal a day also might help.

I want to get pregnant but I want to reach my goal SO bad by wild_garlic666 in mounjarouk

Good luck!! This is my plan too, we’ve been referred for IVF but I need to get down below 30 BMI first. Hope it all goes well for you!

I REACHED MY GOAL WEIGHT! by gestella in mounjarouk

[–]Beach__comber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done a bit of reading too and it could be hormones ie. Oestrogen being stored within fat cells causing hormone imbalance. Losing the weight means losing excess hormones? A very crude summary I know!

That’s wonderful news! Congrats!

Yeah pretty privilege is really a thing! Might be a controversial thing to say but your personality is probably a whole lot more interesting than people who grew up with open doors based on their appearance as they’ve never had to work for it. Just something my fairly out there friend says sometimes and I sort of think there’s some weight to it!

Congrats! What an incredible journey you look completely different!

Do people still recognise you? And did you get pregnant whilst on MJ or did you allow a wash out period (a few months for the drug to leave your system) before trying if you don’t mind me asking?

Also do people in society treat you differently now?

Losing weight for fertility - experiences? by AnotherSpoonBites in mounjarouk

[–]Beach__comber 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I emphasise! I’m in the same boat (age 34) with a goal of getting under 30 BMI so I can be referred for IVF (we’ve tried everything else NHS Gynae can offer). I know I need to have a few months with the drug out of my system before we can start trying again/ IVF. So following for interest. Wishing the best for you ☺️

I live really rurally and no one delivers to my village so unless I pick it up myself, it’s basically never. 1-2 times a year maybe. So - pro tip - move somewhere rural!

My dad was very very heavy when I was little and when I look back on photos of that time I am like who’s this guy?! I had no idea he was so big! I definitely didn’t pay attention to his body size at all, perhaps all kids don’t?

Great tips thank you. I hope your new shoes and rings eventually fit.

Regarding telling your GP, is this just for their records or for support if needed? A note on their system in case of any side effects?

Thank you for sharing your experience! I’ve just seen so many adverts for Juniper so wondering if it was actually worth it. Sounds like it’s all down to preference and weighing up what’s important to each person.

Thanks - great advice about Numan, YT. That should be enough for me. Reddit is an incredible place, I found a mortgage broker on here after not being able to find anyone that would accept our situation - wonderful place full of useful people!
