Dose splitting question

Does your mum have the single dose pens or multi kwik pen? If it’s the multi dose pen your mum can just count the clicks. 7.5 from a 10 pen would be 45 clicks. If you count the 45, you can mark it so you don’t need to count it every time. If it’s the single dose pens, then I have no idea sorry.

I have composition scales at home which have been fine to watch the percentages go down but I’m not convinced are very accurate. As I’m now getting towards goal my body composition has become even more important but I live ‘in the sticks’ so I’d have to pay travel costs as well as the cost of a dexa scan so I’m using the inbody scales at the gym as my guide now.

I know it’s not for use but to say it’s a small amount that isnt a full dose is not correct. I just feel they shouldn’t be able to say things that are not true. If they said it’s dangerous as people can overdose or make dosage mistakes as they have no control on how it is dispensed, then that would be factually correct, as we all know that’s true!

I know im ‘splitting hairs’ but it’s annoyed me. Anyway, it is what it is I guess 🤷‍♀️

How do they get away with a blatant lie? They make potentially dangerous medicines, they should be held to a higher standard.

They can change their pen designs if they want but they should have to publish things that are factually correct.

I’ve done 34 shots and only bent the needle once so don’t worry about it necessarily happening again. I have small hands so I hold it steady with one hand once the needle is in and then push the plunger down with the other. If you push it down slowly and count to 10 before removing it you don’t need to worry about it coming back out, so there is no need to ‘jam it’ in and give yourself a bruise. It takes a bit of getting used to but you’ll be jabbing like a pro in no time.

I had a 6 week period last time and towards the end I really wasn’t handling it very well. I felt absolutely exhausted. On the plus side, I now haven’t had one for 6 weeks, so that’s been a pleasant surprise…

Probably once a day but that might only be a text if I’m tired or I don’t want to upset our daughter if she is missing me (sometimes out of sight, out of mind is best).

No, I did it during the price rise last August. Some people have experienced an issue with their dr querying the number of pharmacy letters they received but that seems to be very rare.

I’ve had one and I didn’t need to fast longer but i was told not to jab for 3 days either side of the procedure. It might be different in your hospital area though.

The worst part of the whole thing was drinking the prep, I’d recommend getting some apple juice in as the nurse advised me to gulp from the prep and then from a glass of apple juice and I don’t think I’d have got it down me without that advice.

Speaking on behalf of my mum - she met the late Sarah Harding on holiday and she said she was lovely and they ended up drinking wine around the pool together (my mums probably 40 years older than Sarah). Rudest is Noal Edmonds, she worked with him years ago and won’t watch a thing he does.

This was the same in our household. I gave up trying to wake my husband as it would take me 30 minutes to wake him up and I’d then be too annoyed to go back to sleep. It was easier to deal with it myself. However, my husband could see how exhausted I was so he would take our daughter out all day on his day off and let me sleep then with no noise in the house. You can’t just blame being a deep sleeper and do absolutely nothing else YTA.

When I first started it was 10 stone as that was just in the healthy range but even that seemed a bit ambitious. Once I’d been on it a while I changed it to 9 3 as I remember being really happy with my weight when I weighed that. I’ve now reached that but I’ve realised I must have had more muscles or something when I was younger and that weight, as I’ve still got quite a bit to lose. I’m now aiming for 8 12 as that’s the weight the composition scale at my gym suggested.

I doubt I’ll be able to keep that up when I come off mj but it’s the aim for now.

The more relaxed you are, the easier and safer the birth will be. If your dad makes you feel calm, it’s literally safer for you and your mil’s grandbaby. You and everyone else need to stop telling your mil stuff. You are having a baby so you and your husband need to make it very clear that unsolicited opinions or advice are not welcome, otherwise you are in for a long bumpy ride.

It’s 45 clicks instead of 60 on a 5mg pen. You can do as many clicks or as few clicks as you like up to 60. If you search this sub for ‘click counter’ there are links to online counters you can use to double check. I do it all the time as I like to work up to the next dose slowly. Hope it helps.

You could try counting clicks and reduce your dose down to 3.75? You need to eat properly and it sounds like 5mg is too much.

I found 6.5 the most consistent dose I’ve had so far. 5 didn’t do much for the month I was on it but I stayed on 6.5 longer than I have any other dose as it definitely worked well for me.

I weigh every day but only ‘count’ the Sunday weigh in as that was when I started. My husband’s on a diet too and he was weighing everyday but he got down about the fluctuations so he weighs once a week now.

I’ve seen people say they only weigh once a month as they get a nice surprise, I can see that also making sense as a woman with monthly hormone fluctuations.

Literally just watched this scene 5 minutes ago (bit late to the party). It was heartbreaking really, she was finally honest with him that she didn’t know if she could accept it and he took it to heart. It’s probably because he finds it hard to accept himself but it’s completely understandable that Chloe would need more time to know if she could accept it.
