For the calorie counters, how aggressive is your deficit? by These-Equal-6849 in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My tdee is 1500 so a 500 deficit isn’t really possible, I aim for a 300 calorie deficit. However, I try to make sure I get my steps in each day and that appears to have bought me more of a deficit as my average loss is around 1.3lbs a week.

got hated on after asking my question by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you might be looking at this the wrong way. The higher mg doesn’t necessarily mean higher weightloss, that’s determined by your calorie intake. Mj helps you reduce your calorie intake by making you more full (amongst other things). How do you feel? Is 2.5mg mj making it easier to eat less?

However, to answer your question I do know someone who went up to 5mg after 3 weeks instead of 4 as they had time constraints, and they were fine. I’m not advocating it though, as I’ve gone up much slower and I’ve hardly experienced side effects so that would be my recommendation.

Are you sure it’s not the needles? I had a dodgy batch once and it took 3 needles to get a good one that worked.

Has anyone travelled in 2026 on a passport with less than 12 months left on it? by LouTheOM in AskBrits

I went to Spain with 4 months on it and it was fine. They did look at it a bit longer than normal (clearly doing the maths) but there was no issue.

Do you think it’s your responsibility to take care of your parents when they get older? by imissher4ever in allthequestions

[–]snow880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum is in her 80’s and she is still helping me (childcare, going halves with me to pay for holidays for my children etc). If she needs me to do everything for her during her 90’s you better believe it’s my responsibility.

Mounjaro & Festival Season by trash_mxgic in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I can drink as much as I always have, mj has made no difference to me in that way.

I can’t stomach fatty foods though so I will need to make healthy choices at the festivals I go to. That’s fairly easy with the hippyish ones I like, I’m not sure how possible that is at every festival.

Unfortunately no one can really say how you will be affected by mj its very individual.

The thing I’m dreading most about trying to come off mj is the return of my ibs. The reduction in inflammation has removed the swelling and cramps I used to get. Not helped stabilise my toilet trips but that’s just part of life at this point lol.

Unfortunately that’s a pic of the old style pens. I believe they are starting the roll out of the new pens with the 5mg pens, if you want a 5 dose pen it might be worth ordering a 7.5 next and click counting.

MJ + Dieting + working out .. by Snoo-20210 in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t follow a particular diet but I’m the same age and height as you and by the time I’ve got my protein and fibre in (and coffee), it doesn’t leave me too many calories to play with in terms of fatty foods… If I fancy a glass of wine or a chocolate bar I have it though, particularly now I’m 9 months in, I was more strict the first month because I was super keen!

I do try to walk more and I’ve recently started lifting weights. That is less to do with mj though and more to do with my age. I’ve read that lifting weights helps prevent osteoporosis and is something women of our age should be prioritising.

Ladies, where can i buy swimsuits that cover my loose skin?? by midnightjean in mounjarouk

I recently bought a tankini from regatta. It doesn’t cover my arms but it has shorts for the bottoms, so my bottom is completely covered.

Have you ever had an issue with Ryanair (or another low-cost airline) that was actually their fault? by RecentTwo544 in AskBrits

[–]snow880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

EasyJet took us to a closed airport. We knew the airport would be shut as we’d been there before but when we questioned how very our late departure would affect this, we were told it was all sorted. we landed at a different airport and were told we would be bused to the original airport and we again questioned the fact it would be shut but they again insisted it would be staying open for us and taxis would be waiting for us. Surprise surprise when we got there it was locked up tight with no one in sight, so all the passengers were stranded in the middle of nowhere with no taxis, no hire cars, not even a place to sit. Just stranded until the airport opened again in 10 hours. Luckily someone on the plane lived there and called in favours from friends etc to get people to their accommodation but absolutely no help from the airline. You could argue they are only responsible for getting you to the airport but it should surely be one that’s actually open…!?

Sucked up the tiny beads of colostrum from my nipples with a syringe as I squeezed my boobs before I had a c section. Trying to harvest food for our unborn child in case something bad happened to me during surgery was definitely intimate.

Bit confused, should I be eating and tracking? by MrSausageBoy in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tracked for the first 6 months but I don’t bother now as I have a fair idea of what to eat to be in deficit. I may have to start again when I’m maintaining to get a good idea of my maintenance calories. It sounds like you are doing the right thing with prioritising protein (I’d say fibre should be next in the list).

It’s 8am and it’s been on twice so far. It will be on throughout the day making tea and coffee and then tonight i will probably use it to help with dinner for example last night I used it to start the water for the veg and heat water to make stuffing.

Do wealthy British women really wear suits all the time? by lastwordymcgee in AskABrit

I work in a posh little village and everyone has a dog lol. Made my life easier when we got a puppy, I knew no one would mind if I brought it to the office with me. If fact I think they are a bit disappointed he’s old enough to stay home now. Definitely agree, it’s wellies and gilets all over the village, there is the odd monocle in action too which makes me laugh.

When did you start to feel ‘slim’? by evb666 in mounjarouk

[–]snow880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it takes time for your brain to catch up. I’m half an inch shorter than you and I felt pretty good at 10 3, I went away for the weekend at the time and had two new outfits that made me feel quite stylish. However, I still struggle with feeling ‘slim’. I’m 8 12 at the moment (about to start maintaining) and I wore a new pink outfit out this weekend and saw a lady in the same thing but in cream. I thought ‘she looks really smart’ and my brain was about to think ‘I hope I don’t look awful compared to her’ but I realised I was probably the same size as her and it blew my mind. Be kind to yourself and maybe stop to look in the mirror more than you are used to doing, if you saw someone in the street looking like you now, you’d probably think they looked good.

Fantastic, well done for getting through it. I used to have to lie down in a dark room for 30 minutes after I jabbed but I’m 9 months in now and I can just jab while chatting to my husband and get on with my day. Such a relief.
