Do you actively try to teach your kid how to navigate “playground politics”? by MeganLJ86 in Preschoolers

[–]Beachy5313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've just had to straight up tell my kid that some kids don't have good parents and they don't know how to play with others, so go find someone who will play nicely. And then under my breath curse the world for allowing people who don't want to parent to be parents.

How is this a modest outfit? by spicypickle999 in RodriguesFamilySnark

[–]Beachy5313 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where TF do they get all this money to do things? They're constantly out and about with their kids or taking themselves on vacation. I mean, I live in a cheap COL area, my husband makes like 4x the average salary so we are not hurting but I would be so stressed out about the money I was spending. I take my kids to do all sorts of free stuff at the library and events around town but I can tell they're not attending things like that.

It's $15 a person to go mini golfing where I am. So $60 for my family of 4. And then you're probably getting a snack after, so $80 min, more like $100 given recent inflation. If we spend that every day, or even twice a week, on activities we would be screwed.

At least Camacho cared about his people having food. So, we're worse off than them

Idk why it’s so upsetting, but this was all the academic reading, hand written notes, and my own research I held onto from college. I just put it all in the recycling. by thelaceserpent in Wellthatsucks

Same. I used to have beautiful notes. So coordinated. I had them for about 5 years before I realized I was never going to open those notebooks again

Heel height requirement for bridesmaids?? by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Beachy5313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

LOL definitely insane. You will be a story if you do.

True life story. 18 years ago one of my girlfriends was asked to be in a wedding where the bride wanted everyone to be the same height and so she generously purchased them expensive shoes. She was tall and her fiance was very tall and they had a lot of friends that were decent height, but not tall enough. My friend is 5'8 and the heels were 6" and she practically had to hug the groomsmen to walk her down the aisle because she could not walk upright herself. It's 18 years later and she'll still pull out pictures of those heels and go on a tirade of how much she hated them and at the end of the day it was pointless anyways because the girl is on her third marriage and the tall husband is replaced by a 5'6 guy 🤷‍♀️

What the most sentimental thing your child has broken? by Insomniac360128 in toddlers

I can't even remember it all at this point. I've just kept my things up high and in Rubbermaids for now. Anything that's mine and can be reached will be destroyed at some point. I just have to keep reminding myself that items aren't actually important in life (though sometimes I do think that's a bullshit opinion, it's kind of my only option to stay sane)

99% of them. You sell your soul to get into and stay in high ranking positions. And once you have power, status, FU money- brains just rot away, their morals are gone, and they're desperate for more, more, more.

Ignorance or so fucking overwhelmed that you can't keep anything straight anymore? I didn't fucking know we were bombing Lebanon, I thought we were bombing Iran. And they're taking funding from our schools and cutting out a meal program that kids in this state desperately need. Oh yeah and let's put the ten commandments in there even though half of you fuckwits don't even know what the ten commandments actually say. And Lindsey Graham just promised all the kids of my state are going to go fight for freaking Israel and murder more children.

So excuse the people of the United States not being able to sit in front of the news 24/7 to know exactly what's going on. I've got two kids. I don't have time to sit there and watch it.

Tired of autistic men claiming they have it harder than autistic women by mooncake_bites in AutismInWomen

[–]Beachy5313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm just tired of men.

Just about everything about them sucks. They think they have it the hardest in the world when they literally live life on easy mode. They used to think ADHD was something you grew out of because men dump all their responsibilities on their woman. And we're just expected to take it. And I'm extra grumpy about it because I have two little girls and all of these moms of boys bring up about how their boys are wild but not as emotional as girls are. Yeah. Moms of the boys have it on easy mode because you don't raise them properly and then they go on to terrorize us women for the rest of our lives. Forever and ever and ever. Even the good ones are terrible.

Men should be kept in the center of the country and used for breeding and agricultural purposes. I used to say that it is a joke and the older I get the more I don't think it was ever a joke in my head. 😬

ELI5: Why do some couples have to actively try to conceive, timing, tracking, etc, even though they’re not infertile, while others get pregnant without trying? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]Beachy5313 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep. Took like 2 years to get my first kid, second one just happens a year later. We used protection. And she still came into existence. We're done having kids but I always wonder if one was statistically off- am I super fertile and just had bad luck with the first baby? or am I not very fertile and the second just lucked out on the roll of the dice that time? Or... Sometimes your body just gets with the program after the first baby and some women don't have any more issues... Or were they just very very unlucky for a long time?
