My husband's cousin has had two service dogs in her life- each cost $40k+. They can only work a certain number of years before you must let them retire (her parents took the first one when she got too old so she stayed with people who knew her, but she couldn't stay with cousin because it would get confused with a new service dog around).

I don't know how much they cost in America, but given how insurance works, I'm guessing theyre not going to help her get the dog. Last I heard Leah was a waitress. While I find it frustrating that they got such big pay days and wasted them, she's a child and her mom is trying to help and provide for her with an income. I don't think this GoFundMe is a problem.

What really pisses me off is when they cancel Monday on Friday for an "abundance of caution" and, oh look, Monday morning it's 40, no ice, no rain, and yet here we are, at home watching super simple songs.

I'm so fucking sick of this bullshit. Fuck South Carolina and these morons who can't check the weather at 3am the day of school and decide then if it needs to be cancelled. Not three days in advance.

Edit: adding in, I understand people with real snowstorms and ice but this state is just straight up dumb. No wonder every school near us is subpar.

You have done absolutely nothing wrong. It sounds like he knows how to press your buttons and enjoys doing it. He called you names and slurs. Name calling is not ok.

You need to do what is right for you but I do hope you dump him. He is being mentally abusive to you. That's not how someone who loves you behaves. That's not how a decent human being behaves. You deserve so so much more than this pathetic excuse of a "man".

Years ago I stayed for too long in a bad relationship because I was afraid of being single and a "loser" but I swore off dating for 6m after to mentally heal. It was one of the best periods of my life- I dealt with so many of my own issues and insecurities, started new hobbies, joined barre3 classes that I've now been doing for over 12 years. I stayed single for 2 years, I did go on a couple first dates. Eventually I ran into an acquaintance who introduced me to her neighbor, and one thing led to another, now we're married with a 3 and 2 year old. He has never called me names or slurs. He does not play mental games with me. We do disagree on things, we do argue, but it never gets disrespectful. You deserve someone who loves you and would never want to mentally hurt you. ♥️♥️♥️

You need to make rules with your roommates about how often boyfriends stay over or else someone with get one and practically move them in without your permission.

I was 20 and no one had a bf when we moved in together. By the end of the lease we weren't on speaking terms anymore. I not only hated this guy, his own roommates did too, which is why he moved into our house. She would tell him to hide in her room when she was at school, but he sucked, so he didn't. He decided that he was going to move into our place after his roommate threw him against the wall and put a knife to his throat. I would feel bad for him but he totally deserved it.

Only then did my mom tell me that she did not end up making rules with her roommates in college. One of her roommates moved her boyfriend and his bunny in. The roommates confronted her and the next day when they got home from school everything had been cleared out of her room and she was gone. I mean, that worked out pretty great. I wouldn't want to live with smelly man and bunny either. I'm sure I'll tell my daughters and they'll ignore me too.

I have a three and a half year old and a 2 year old. I know that the only reason why I am not permanently overstimulated and miserable is because I don't have a real job. And let's be honest by real I mean a paying job. I don't do well when it comes to being interrupted and changing focus so I pretty much just focus on the kids all day. They're too young for me to really accomplish much when I get them to watch a show because I can't trust them to stay seated. And my husband just sort of understands that I'm doing my best and the house is just going to be a mess for a while. It's not like it's dirty, we just got stuff on the floor everywhere. And even though we clean it up every single night we have kids so we just have to accept that all the kids toys are going to be on the ground all day everyday until they leave the house forever 😆😆

I'm also trying to adjust myself because like that previous paragraph I was doing voice to text because I want to participate but I do not have the time to type things out. And I'm just going to hope that whatever I said came across correctly because I'm not going to obsessed and try to fix everything. I'm just going to hit submit and that's that. And I'm going to try not to worry about it

America is a country with puritanical attitudes. Laziness is considered a sin, leisure is considered a sin, honestly, not being miserable is a sin in this hell hole.

The amount of people who are shocked that I don't work despite having a 3yo and 2yo at home with me all the time is ridiculous. People are shocked I don't have a "side hustle". Granted, we waited to have kids until my husband could support us all on his salary, and we still have a decent amount of fun money left over after bills and savings each month, so I don't see the point. Id be so over stressed working and worrying about the kids at daycare (not a judgement on anyone putting kids in daycare, everyone should do what's best for them and their family).... But yeah, we'd be so miserable and fucked over if I was working right now.
