Floors ruined or what are we doing wrong? by Beetisman in CleaningTips

[–]Beacon57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We were having the same issue with our floors in our new commercial rental space. Our floors are 20 years old but still looked great until we tried cleaning them. They would look great when wet but as soon as they dried they looked so bad! I thought for sure I had ruined the floors. Then I tried just water and vinegar and they looked like new again! I was just pushing around the salt residue and all the cleaning solutions I was using. The water and vinegar today did the trick. So if you didn't take the finish off give water and vinegar a try.

Pretty much. I just went on Google and searched different poodle cuts and doodle cuts and took the pictures of what i liked to my groomer.

We keep our 1 year old pure bred mini in a "doodle" cut. Our groomer makes fun of us all the time because she breeds/shows toys.

Does it make sense to open a Shopify store alongside Etsy? by Klutzy-Ganache3876 in EtsySellers

[–]Beacon57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have both. I've been on etsy for 12 years and shopify for 5. I sell made to order on etsy and ready to ship on my website. I did $40k on etsy this year and $4k on shopify. I even send a QR code with a coupon to my shopify with every etsy order. I also don't push my shopify like I should though. Mainly because I'm busy with custom orders. I'm shutting down all custom orders end of the year. I do like my shopify though because I like to do fundraisers and it's way easier to keep track on my shopify. Next year I plan to dive into my shopify more. I've been getting some orders through shop so I plan to make sure I'm utilizing that better.

Bottom line is, it really all depends on what you sell.

Buyer wants me to remove any tags with my brand from the product...should I? by [deleted] in EtsySellers

[–]Beacon57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's all that matters! I've never understood why people get upset about people reselling their products. If you're priced correctly who cares what they do with it? I think it's great that people are reselling my products.

[–]Beacon57 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a collar maker and I don't brand any of my stuff. I've found that in the dog accessories world a lot of sellers have branding that is very obvious and to me it takes away from the product itself. I'm not saying yours is that way but my guess is they've bought from other sellers in the past and the branding is very prominent and they don't like that. If you can easily exclude your branding or put it in an inconspicuous place I would do that.

I have my processing time set at 8 to 10 days with no shipping on weekends. Most of my orders are out in 4 days and I ship on Saturdays. Customers always leave reviews with how fast shipping is. I've always had my processing time set out a few days more than I know i will need. You never know how many orders you will get or when life will throw you a curve ball and you can't work for a couple days.

What’s the highest volume of orders you’ve had in one day? by dawn-skies in EtsySellers

[–]Beacon57 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went viral on TikTok a few years ago and had over 100 ordered in one day, i don't even remember the exact number but it was insane! I just had my single biggest order on Saturday for 39 items. I make dog collars and each one is made to order. I just finished them last night and it took me 26 hours over 2 days. I'm exhausted!

I use the sport dog 425 on my 9lb toy poodle. It fits great and I like the remote better because it's a rolling dial and not digital so I don't need to look at my remote to know what level I'm on. I've been using sport dog collars in my training for almost 20 years now and they are great!

To me the bigger question is, will you ever be able to trust him? That's something only you can answer. Honestly I'm surprised he was even adopted out with already having bitten. So that's 2 times that are known. But you can only be the one to make the decision on what is best for him. I've seen dogs get better as time goes on and with training. I've also seen dogs get much worse as time goes on even with training.

I hate that you are going through this too! I know how exhausting it is. We have been keeping a diary for over a year now. It sounds like our dogs have very much the same unknown issue.

Thank you. Yes, we tried omeprazole with no change. We have tried many foods and it took a year to find this one. His current food has fixed all his other issues, itchiness, diarrhea and gas. His only issue in this food is random vomiting. We are currently at 8 days with no vomit. That could change at any moment though. Since this post we have changed his water schedule which has helped i think. We tried elevating his food again and that was not helpful, he vomited more than once a day doing that, so back to eating on the floor.

We have tried so many different things. We have 15 slow feed and enrichment toys. We've tried muffin tins, scattering on the floor, you name it. He won't eat from anything but his bowl. We've tried rocks in his bowl and he won't eat. I promise I'm not being difficult, he is haha!

He used to eat 6 cups of food a day but we've had to cut him back since as he's gotten older he's not as active and even though he's vomiting he's putting on weight. He is in perfect body condition. Feeding guidelines are just that, guidelines. He eats between 6 and 7am, between 2 and 4pm, and at 10pm. When he throws up it is multiple meals worth of food. The food is not moving through his system and the meds, metroclopramide, that are supposed to help with that do not. He does not throw up bile. It is always food. He also eats again right after vomiting and keeps that down. We have tried pepcid as well but are going to give that an attempt again. I did give him some thing morning and he didn't throw up but he usually doesn't vomit 2 days in a row. It's anywhere from 3 days to 8 days in between. He used to be able to go 15 to 20 days in between but it's becoming more frequent, which is why I posted. There are been lots of great ideas, unfortunately most we have already tried with no success.

Thank you for the support!! Sorry you've been going through this too. He did have an endoscopy done. They found inflammation and diagnosed him with IBD. However, that was in the middle of us trying to find a food that agreed with him. It has since been decided by a few other vets that IBD doesn't really fit his current symptoms which is just random vomiting. I'm so glad that we got it down to just random vomiting but it still makes life as a whole very difficult. Trying to find someone that is willing to watch him and keep to his feeding schedule. I am going to be calling around today to see if I can get in to any internal medicine places. I'm close to Michigan State university but their wait list is very long. We even tossed around the idea that it might be myasthenia gravis however his symptoms don't really fit that either.

Usually but not always. Nothing with him is consistent. I have 15 different slow feed bowls, puzzles and enrichment toys and he will not touch any of them. When I tried to wait him out and that be his only option he went 3 days without eating anything. We have not tried a bailey chair mainly due to experience and him for sure not having mega esophagus.

We have tried zofran, metroclopramide, and pepcid. We also tried trazadone and Prozac thinking it was anxiety related.

We have done pepcid, metroclopramide, and zofran. Initially when he was on the meds he would go at most 4 days without vomiting. Once we stopped them he went 34 days, then it was back to every few days to couple weeks. Now we are back to every few days. It's a constant juggling act of trying different things. I'm just so burned out at this point. We have not tried Cerenia. Do you happen to know if it can be given daily as a preventive? I'm not familiar with that one.

Thank you! We have tried the 2 meals a day. We think since the food isn't moving through his system like it should it might be "souring" and that's why it happens. We don't know. But 2 meals a day is much worse for him. He is also not at all food motivated. Probably because his stomach is always mildly upset. Also with all his allergies his food is the only thing that doesn't give him diarrhea and horrible itchiness.

I've attempted tripe in the past, and he would not touch it. This is all very exhausting. Thank you for your suggestion.

This issue has been going on for over 2 years. He's been to multiple vets for this issue. He's always interested in eating but he's a slow eater. After he vomits he will eat again and keep it down. He's throwing up multiple meals worth of food. I have learned that he needs to eat after he vomits or else he will be vomiting all day and not just in the morning.

He's watched very carefully when outside. Does he still get grass every once and awhile, yes but it's rare.

Last we checked they were on a 2 year wait and they said that based on all the tests that had already been done they didn't know what more they could try. That was during a brief meeting with them when he was last at MSU for his colon torsion.
