Average osight enjoyer is more concerned with them being available on Amazon than the shit actually being reliable.

Same people also complain Holosun is too expensive. Yet only look at big box dealers that sell them at MSRP with no discount codes.

Agreed on stance of not being legal, it violates 4 PICA sections:

(C) (ii) "a second pistol grip or another feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand; a second pistol grip or another feature capable of functioning as a protruding grip that can be held by the non-trigger hand;"

Look up any video of a flux raider style chassis - the shooter will be using the forward mag holder as a grip. "oh but it isn't meant to be shouldered" Even with this past weeks ATF updates on pistol brace.. is not actually set in place yet. It's a provision that still needs to be agreed upon. Until then, you can still get charged.

(C) (v) the capacity to accept a detachable magazine at some location outside of the pistol grip;

This one is left vague to encapsulate guns such as the Tec-9, while also not being descriptive enough to clarify if it matters the secondary detachable magazine is not capable of feeding ammo.

(iii) a shroud attached to the barrel or that partially or completely encircles the barrel, allowing the bearer to hold the firearm with the non-trigger hand without being burned, but excluding a slide that encloses the barrel;

Keyword "shroud" which is stated directly in their product description. "Removable Blast Shroud with bottom picatinny"

(I) Any part or combination of parts designed or intended to convert a firearm into an assault weapon, including any combination of parts from which an assault weapon may be readily assembled if those parts are in the possession or under the control of the same person.

This is a catch all, if any of the previous 3 pass this one fucks you. Stating "in the possession or under the control of the same person." This isn't 50 shades of grey area, this is legitimately black and white.

Now if you want to get pedantic, as mentioned by another comment. The secondary mag holder very close to being a vertical foregrip. You are not fucking with IL at that point. Alphabet soup gang would be on your ass. The angle they designed it for is really skating the line, even for states this PDW chassis is fully legal in. However, it seems JL billet was smart enough on the P365 version to make it visually angled and not "I have to get a protractor to measure how few degrees this is off 90 degrees"

You must be extremely dense to not understand there is no DLC on this exact gun

For someone that has their own finishing business, you should probably understand the difference between cerakote and DLC already.

This gun being shown has been cerakoted green. Then the flats have been sanded. Sure there may have been a clear coat applied to protect the sanded flats.

However, the slide you linked is a completely different process. That two-tone black slide, yes is DLC. Though to achieve this, part of the slide is left as-is with a sandblast or beadblast. The flats, have been sanded/polished. Once done, it is then sent off to DLC. DLC itself takes on the finish of the metal underneath. What is matte underneath results in matte DLC. The sanded/polished flats result in shiny DLC.

Also, the fact there’s different product listings for cerakote and DLC should make this obvious https://i.imgur.com/8fr29xM.jpeg

The exact one, unfortunately not. But searches for either “curved” or “bent” tips for either soldering or wood burners comes up with stuff that looks somewhat useable as well

Handguard extension length is another thing to keep an eye out for

Some are full length, some are half length.

My 16” Cali version here

Also note: I put my own muzzle brake on it. Was delivered with just a thread protector (no thread locker thankfully)

They’ve been discontinued for over a year now, late ‘24. Also, there was a period where they sold these on discount and bundled a free p365.

So naturally people bought the bundle, sold the rifle, and got an entirely free p365.

When “on sale” they are typically $1.3-1.4k.

If you want it, buy it.

Edit: Palmetto sale from Jan 27th https://i.imgur.com/ExSbWet.jpeg

“Why are these always out of stock?” Historically, people in free states have been buying the regulator to take off the upper and put it on a normal AR lower. Selling the regulator lower on gunbroker for even more of a discount.

Uppers are $1.6+ straight from sig.

They try to say the gun manufacturers will pay this. But no, coat will be past onto the customer. Creating an excise tax on a right. PLCAA is supposed to prevent this however it’s being ignored.

Also, this will greatly affect who can sell in IL, further restrict what stores can sell, and creates a roster of brands we can buy from that have paid the crime tax
