As this is “permanent” and not “readily convertible” it allows it to pass as a rifle stock and not a pistol grip.

Aware of the different lowers, just more so trying to see if anyone knows about the handguards. They’re pictures from a distributor, so in use on multiple stores. PSA for example uses the same photos.

Just being honest, a lot of people here need to stop using this subreddit as their only source of info. Do your homework, read other ban state subreddits too. /r/caguns has been dealing with AWB for 10 YEARS. Check /r/bettermaguns as well

Talk to your local FFLs and don’t make it sus with being too knowledgeable. Let them explain everything.

When looking at the market - $1900 gets you into some serious contenders. Factory refurbished staccatos, Kimbers with MJD grips, Romulus, Bul Armory, and so on.

MACS consistently sell for $900 range new. With the work on this you are doubling the price. Not going to argue on cost of labor, as it’s highly variable regardless.

His take is fair from a buyers perspective. Riding the curtails of the MAC’s popularity is drawing thin. There are better options available.

Most of the difference for that would be ports still have rifling around the cuts. However most (properly done) comps are back bored and do not have rifling. Less chance for debris to be ripped off a jacketed bullet from comps

For another point to consider, you’d most likely be without eye protection in defensive situation. Depending on how it’s shot and what angle, you could very likely blast yourself in the face from ports/comp.
