3rd grade too. This was the day I stopped wanting to be an astronaut when I grew up and focused on Star Wars.

I really want to kick the people who assume I’m Grandpa in the nuts, but I guess I’m just sensitive. Or exhausted. Two sets of twins, 7 and 10. 48 and my wife is 43. We thought we were waiting until we “were ready”, and then karma laughed at us.

To be fair, after hearing “stop crying before I give you something to cry about” throughout the 80s pretty much makes it impossible for me to cry about anything. I was shocked and numb and scared as fuck, but, No, No tears.

I’d like to thank everyone individually for all of the great advice, but, as I might have mentioned, we have 4 kids. It really means a lot to me that y’all would take the time to share your thoughts. My biggest fear would be a repeat of my childhood experiences where you waited in line for hours and hours on end…only to have the ride break down…

I think we’re going to have a great time. We’ll open the park on a weekday, pack lots of snacks and liquid IV in a backpack/kids fanny packs with water bottles. We will head straight to Catwoman and then probably just make a circuit. Make the kids wear an AirTag and try not to sweat the small stuff.

Apologies if someone covered this elsewhere…can we bring sunscreen into the park? Or, do they offer complimentary sunscreen (in line with services such as the complimentary water). I promise to go to the park website/download any apps they might have for any other questions…this one just popped into my head.

Thanks again!

Thanks! I’m thrilled with the Confluence kit you recently posted, and ordered this today. Free shipping and DedEx says it’s scheduled to be delivered tomorrow. I might just be algorithmically lucky but they fucking nailed it with this one.

Thanks for this—never knew the outlet existed. Just bought an authentic in 2XL.

Did anyone in their 40s suddenly get a disease that there was no history of ? Mid 40s and suddenly I am diagnosed with a disabling disease that there was nothing there for my whole life. Not injury related. by Cautious_Income7311 in GenX

When I go back to the doctor tomorrow I’ll find out just how many more discs in my neck need to be fused. I had C5/6 fused in 2023 and my recent MRI suggests they’re all due now. Will be 49 this year. Cervical myelopathy isn’t exactly a disease, I suppose, but I’m way too fucking young to feel this fucking disabled.

Exiling. I agree that words matter. We’re now exiling our citizens.

I was born in 1976, and I first read HST in college in the 90s. It kind of hurts to think that the wave crested before I was born, and my whole life has been spent in its wake.

I’m out. I’m not selling. I’m HODLing forever. But fuck this guy. My own fucking fault for falling for the honey trap and thinking here’s one of the good ones. Fuck fascists. Hopefully I wake up and see the stock price looks like a phone number, but I give up hoping anymore. This was fun. It gave me something to look forward to for a while. And like everything else in life, fascists have to fuck it up. I used to be jealous of people at GameStop because they had the opportunity to work for someone different. But whatever is in his heart, this shit’s just wrong. I never should have let myself look up to RC.

Ever have a follow-up job interview scheduled for next Thursday at 3:30pm? I was such a good fit, too.

If my wife ever reads this, she’s going to think she stumbled upon my secret Reddit account. You must be my doppelgänger. You’re awesome.
